I just got a Vizio 32'' LCD HDTV (http://www.vizio.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=18) and have been playing Halo 3 on it. During the first few levels I was shocked at how jaggy and uncrisp the graphics were...then I saw Halo 3 in action on my friend's tv and then another playing on a monitor. Night and day difference. My tv must suck because the picture looks a little stretched and just not crisp. Any suggestions on what I can do to make the picture better. Switching to VGA cables helped a ton but not enough. I am assuming it is just because the resolution isn't very high (not 1080p)....would getting a 1080p set fix the problem you think?

you might have to change the resolution on your console. it may still be at 480p.

I have a Vizio 37" LCD HDTV and it looks fine. You might be playing the game in SD still. Make sure you flip the switch on the back and then go to setting and switch it to 720p and widescreen, if it doesn't do it for you. That should do the trick.

Listen to the guys above me. Sounds like your TV does 720p, so be sure to set your Xbox settings to that.

I've been playing Halo 3 in 1080p a brand new Samsung TV LCD, and man, is it ******* amazing. Some of the best graphics I've ever seen.

There are literally hundreds of people on these boards with that tv. It's most likely that it's not set right. What res have you run the VGA cables at? I have a older vizio 32"er and I could not run it at my native resolution and had to use 1280x720 which cropped the bottom and top about 1/16th of a inch but it looks great that way.
