I've only played Fallout and Star Ocean so I went with Fallout obviously. I'm still playing Star Ocean, but I don't see it passing Fallout. After Star Ocean though it's on to Mass Effect and then I was planning on getting Tales of Vesperia so we'll see if I still like Fallout the most after I finish all of those. Oh and what about Fable II? I thought that was another great RPG.
Mass Effect and Lost Odyssey are my two favourite. I personally wouldn't be able to vote on which is better, Mainly because they are two different types of RPG's. Sad that Lost Odyssey isn't on the list!

Fallout 3, Mass Effect has the graphics and story, but lack in the gameplay and replay point of view, Oblivion was amazing but sure did has alot of bugs and glicthes in the game, I still will take it over Mass Effect though, never played TOV (outside of the demo which I thought was okay) and Star Ocean.
Missing a few rpgs there but Tales of Vesperia is really amazing. Kind of tied with Fallout 3 I guess since that is truely my favorite game. Period. Tales is just fantastic though.
Tales of Vesperia because it has the best story, characters, combat, and overall composition. It's a lot more polished then Mass Effect and Fallout 3 and it's just better.
Eternal Sonata, I am not a huge fan of the voice acting. But, it has a strong story. Oblivion is great too.

The game seemed too easy and seemed like it was trying to teach you moral story after story. It was ok, wont ever play it again though, and cut scenes dragged on forever.
You should probably just put ff13 and get on with it cause thats what's gunna be the best. In my opinion, (not saying they're bad), but games like fallout and elder scrolls are not rpgs to me because they're so free roaming. I much prefer a linear rpg to a fallout or elder scrolls, however, the afformentioned games are still amazing and wonderful games but they are not my idea of an rpg.
