Warranty question/might be getting system today...

So, is it that M gives you a 3 year warranty (for the rrod error you might get) as of the date you buy the system, or is this 3yr warranty only from day one of the system launching to this coming november?

I assume that the 3 yr limited warranty for the poss rrod error is from the date each person buys their own system, but I am just making sure..

Does it apply to new systems too, or just the systems made/sold prior to a certain date?

I ask b/c the guys at BestBuy seemed to think that the 3 yr rrod limited warranty only applied to the older systems, not the newer ones, like the one I just bought today.
