yeah that still doesn't make sense because didn't ms issued the three year warranty in 2007? so shouldn't we be covered into 09?

Microsoft tries anything to cheat you out of your warranty. They tried to do that to me, but thats a story for another thread...

Yea call 1-800-4MY-XBOX (1-800-469-9269) and go through the promps and when you get to the associate just say it has the RROD and they will fix you right up. As soon as they hear you have the RROD they will ask you some basic questions..like is your console plugged in? Is your console plugged into the wall or a power strip? Are your av cables plugged in? Is the light on on your power brick? What color is it? Just say you have good power there but everytime you turn on the system the 3 rings pop up and its the top right quad that is not lit. They will go ahead and send you a prepaid packing slip through your email.

Best of luck to ya

So, what happened?

Sorry if I gave incorrect information, I thought it was 3 years from the day they announced it.

The_Fell_One

Even if it was from the date the warranty was announced the math doesn't even add up. The 360 hasn't even been out for 3 years yet, so how can the RROD warranty extension be passed 3 years?

But ultimately, whatever.
