The game could have been so good, but theres some really simple things that are missing that make the game feel completely wrong.

1) first off is the length! the game is so short! i thought they would have learned from last time and created a game with a main story line way longer this time, but nope its still short, i thought i was half way through the game then 45 minutes later its over, and i took my time and completed a lot of side quests and did some random time wasting stuff (pillaging bowerstone)

2)Armor.... anyone? where is the armor! The complete lack of no sort of armor system/armor items makes no sense! this is a midieval rpg!

3) Its also impossible for you to die, the only punishment you get is you lose a whopping like 100 xp and it gets bigger every time. This one thing took all sense of accomplishment from me beating this game, i knew that if i died 5 seconds later i get full health and i dont even have to redo the mission, i can just keep playing like it didnt even matter. Did they even test this game after they made it? Any gamer off the street playing would immediatly spot the awkwardness in this desperatly trying to be different death system. But then again they would have spotted the complete lack of armor too, which for some reason the first one had?

4)Bosses? There is sub bosses, that are just a tiny bit harder than regular foes, and then there is trolls, which seems to be the only real "boss" other than the final boss that you face, they use the same troll boss fight times!  i wouldnt even consider the trolls a boss because they are so rediculously easy and simple to kill. The only real boss is the one at the end, which at least had some difficulty, but still you cant die, so its not like it was a problem.

5) The story, i know this is more than an opinion than a problem, but the ending was incredibly rushed, and gets a 0/10 on the exciting/suspense/ any form of cool ness scale , seriously, you have to find three heros to summon a box? and that box zaps the head honcho then you tap/shoot/spell blast him once and he falls over, there ya go, game over you win........

6) Magic seems a little overpowered,  lvl 2 timecontrol + lvl 4 or 5 inferno = win every time. But this could be because the whole game itself lacks any real difficulty

Maybe they focused to much on other little details and they forgot to actually make a real video game, this game had some cool innovations and it dissapoints me to see that it could have so much better.

I wasn't too disappointed with it. I feel that it has plenty of interaction with the world, but the world itself is a tad small, and it does lack the armour and weapon variety found in most RPGs. The life simulation sort detracts from the total experience, but at the same time adds to a whole different experience. I plan on beating it 3 times for the achievements anyways.

Yes, I was pretty dissapointed with it, and you took the words right out of my mouth; the only thing I don't agree with was your second point. Peter M announced long ago that there would be no armor. The reason for this is because they didn't want everyone to look the same by wearing the best armor. I agree with this decision, but it was very poorly executed. Clothing and dyes were supposed to offer you a seemingly infinite customization options, however there are only about 10 different outfits so we're faced with the SAME PROBLEM. It's still a decent game, it's just not the awesome game to end all games that Peter M promised to everyone.

Actually, the game takes place in more of a colonial time period, hence gunplay. So no armor is completely understandable. Other than that, I agree with your other points.

The game was fun, but I was majorly disappointed in it. I thought the morality choices were a joke, and the ending was terrible. I could go on and on, but I will save my time and breath.

I pretty much agree with everything you said, but I was only mostly disappointed how tacked on the co-op felt which was supposed to be a new main feature.

Yeah i see where your coming from, but its still in a time where they use big axes and maces, dont you think somone would be smart enough to wear armor to defend themselves from axe/mace/sword blows? whatever no big deal.

This game is defenetly fun and keeps me coming back, but i just see such a massive room for improvement that makes me wonder why the developers didnt see it themselves, thats mainly why im dissapointed. I feel that if it was improved on in these areas it could have been an instant classic, but now its just a "good" game. Whatever, i guess they hyped it up so much that i saw what they delivered and thought they could have done so much more, guess not.

It's a good game, I'm just mad I payed a whole $60 for it though. I'll probably trade it in while i can still get $30 for it and get Fallout 3.

I wasn't completely disappointed with the game, but I do agree with some of your points, the game was too linear. it was an 8.9 for me. So close to the magic nine, but not enough positives to achieve that score.

I agree with all your points, i was rly dissapointed with the game, I mean it was way too easy, their was almost no challenge at all, and as in the first fable their should have been a mana bar and a limited amount of arrows/ammo, just becaue it makes it a bit harder or they should have at least had real bosses.

I was only dissapointed due to the lack of clothes, weapons, and other content and the extremely short story I traded in my first week to get Fallout 3 which I found to be much better but Fable 2 is still a great game

I love the game, i think jst that it needed more choice of clothes/armour, weapons and other things to personalise your hero/heroine to a better extent, and also the game is quite short, i got 24 hrs good play out of fable the lost chapters, by doin all the quests, side quests amd exploring an general messing about, but i dnt think i would be able to in fable 2, also was it jst me or was it hard for u to make money at the begining, the jobs are very tedious an they are the only way to get money so u can start buyin an renting out houses to get a bigger profit to get the better weapons =)

You couldn't be anymore wrong, they used alot of armor in colonial times, it was the only deffence against guns back then. It was only when artillary and more rapid firing weapons were made, when armor and the tactics of the day were usless.

dude, its an rpg without a story, WTF$*#. I've never heard of that before, you could literally summarize the story in one sentence. A little boy/girl, whos sister/brother got killed, was sent out to find three heros of skill will and might to avenge his sister's/brother's death. I really don't kno how much more u can add. In addition, there wasn't even a final boss. Reaver killed lucian off, how is that even an ending. The realism of the game didn't detract from the game, it was the lack of story line and length. The first one was by far 2-3 times better, yet it somehow got a lower score i believe. If anything, i hope the 3rd fable will go back to some aspects i really liked in fable 1.

Honeslty, I think the game was amazing in so many ways minus the length. WTF were the people at Lionhead thinking? Making an RPG only 10 hours long. Had it been longer and had a more fleshed out storylines and better implemented side-quests I think it would have ranked up there with Fallout 3 and Oblivion.

i have to agree sadly, i mean at the begginning your like oh S***t here we go, but once u get further in, it just reminds me of the old Fable and it just gets boring.

CO-OP could have been way better btw stupid camera

It's cool to see that other people share the same feelings about Fable 2. I'm trying to like it, but it's not working. :(

t was not dissapointed till it ended. Ya too short and the story was not great but the replay value is high so I can live with that. The armor thing is like real life, when guns were invented armor dissapeared.

The lack of challenge is a big dissapointment too. I liked the game and i still feel like playing it to finish all the sidequests but thats about it, not once did i get remotely "stuck" in this game.

Naa, not a disappointment. Gonna be playing some more tonight actually, can't get enough of the game and can't wait for the dlc.
