I had a lot of fun with it. I bought it before Fallout 3 because I thought I would enjoy it more (I ended up being wrong. FO3 is one of the best games I've ever played) Something that really frustrated me was the amount of load times. Those were completely unacceptable. And the movement of your hero is frustrating at times. Other than that, I thought it was a lot of fun and it seems other did, too. But was it a success? It's rare that you still hear people talking about it. It seems to have come and gone which is unfortunate for a game that you can tell a lot of hard work was put into. Anyone know what the sells were? Can it be considered a success?

I was really disappointed in Fable 2, but it was a success financially and why a sequel is on the way. What is your definition of 'success'?

To me a successful game is one that even sells months after it's release and a game that, while accepting that every game has flaws, it's still a really great game worth multiple playthroughs. I think I would have liked Fable II a lot more if those load times were less frequent. They were brutal. Even after taking up 7gb's to install to the hard drive they were still unacceptable.

I think if I played Fable 2 first, I would've liked it more.

Same here. I loved the original to death, but Fable 2 was even more watered down than the first was in terms of RPG's. Yet I still loved the first, regardless. The Chapel of Skorm, the characters, the story. All of it was just very enjoyable.

Fable 2's pirate garb, the prissy Temple of Shadows, the lame as hell final boss encounter (if you can call it that) and last, but not least, the game save corrupting bug that cost me over 20 hours of gameplay. Needless to say, that was the final draw, so I sold it and never looked back.

Whats funny is my character was supposed to be bad, so at the ending when the person (can't remember who) says to pick, while she was explaining, my bro had his music so loud that I couldn't hear what she said. So when I saw the option sacrifice I thought it was evil (sacrificing innocent people). I was kinda mad, no reason to get really pissed off, I'm never gonna really play this game anymore. If I knew i would've picked my dog.

Depends on how you define 'success'. Apparently it was still a good game, and it sold well. So in that way it was a success.

But fromeverything I've heard(never played it), people seem to be a little disappointed with it. Not that its a bad game, but it didn't live up to its hype and potential. I rarely hear people recommending it much, which is a sign that most people probably weren't overly impressed with it.

This is one of thereasons I'm waiting to find a real cheap copy. I'd gladly pay $15-20 for it.

Maybe it sold good because people thought it would be as good as Fable or better (like I did)

It's a failure at an RPG, but it's a great game in its own right. The load times are pretty ridiculous, though.

I haven't played it, but from what I've heard, it was a success.
