If anyone could help I would appreciate it. My monitor is in the below link however when I connected my vga cable to the 360 then to the monitor no signall... tried so many things but I ran out of steam. ANy ideas on how to fix this or will I just have to buy another monitor just to play my xbox on. p.s If you have any compatitable monitors please post them (that are cheap ;) http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/acer-x-series-18-5-widescreen-lcd-monitor-with-5ms-response-time-x183h-bb-black/10131637.aspx?path=38ae497c0a0d1e4399c43961658e4e83en02

Man that sucks, I paid like 13 bucks for Microsoft VGA cables and they work great. Didn't really need them since I run my Xbox through HDMI, I just wanted to try them out. They work great. Corse my LCD monitor is just a standard dell 19 inch non HD monitor.

most common error, is ur monitor set to the right settings, i.e. digital, analog, hdmi.

also if u can, try setting ur 360 to a different resolution before hookin it up to ur monitor.

this is the best i can come up with

Hold down RT and Y when booting up the console. This should reset the display settings.

Shouldn't the Xbox just pick up on the display settings? I have never ever had a problem switching from VGA to HDMI and then standard A/V. Not never. And I have actually done that. Just to see how different games show on different TV's and monitor.
