Call of Duty 4 - Want to know why? Buy a copy of COD4, first. :)Elann2008
It's not very realistic
I'd have to say Graw 2 even though it's still a run and gun shooter.
what genre though? everyone just listed shooters lol. rainbow six is the most realistic shooter followed closely by graw 2. but most realistic game maybe forza 2 or pgr4 or a sports sim like fifa 08. clarkportmanken
lol at PGR 4.....thats super-arcade man
Well Halflife 2 is probably the best designed game ever, far ahead in technology and simply breathtaking gameplay.
But what do you mean by realistic? What is possible in this world? Well, than it would not be any Sci Fi shooter for sure. Call of Duty 4 seems extremely realistic, and it too is well designed.
Nba 07 cause you can pass the ball threw people and dunk threw the backboard and make a game so sucky some idiot like myself bought it thinking it was nba live 07..
Oh wait that was me.
Most relaistic would be Call of duty 4. That rap video rocked.
Or madden 08 if your a sprots type
whoever says cod4 is really misguided.TarzanTheMan
It's wonderful that you're able to express yourself and all, but it would be really nice if you could put some supporting points after your statement there. People on message boards have this odd idea that if they just show up and state their opinion that it's like some sort of crushing argument. When you come out and say something like this, something that's going against the majority opinion on the thread, add something to back it up.
Moving on... Rainbow Six, if you turn up the difficulty, is the closest approximation to real combat that I've experienced in a shooter. GRAW bugs me, in that you usually know where the enemies are before you engage because of the information sharing system in the game. The real Army does not have this system, certainly not for individual soldiers, and definitely not to the level that it's developed in the game. In a real combat zone, you have to watch your flanks and rear constantly, because you don't know where a threat will pop up; this is a non-issue in GRAW. Working with non-organic elements like armor or rotary wing support is also a lot more complicated than it's depicted in GRAW. Rainbow Six, on the other hand, doesn't have any of that s***. You're just a couple of guys running around shooting at stuff, and it's executed really well.
And what's with people saying Halo and Half-Life are the most realistic? I assumed when someone posed the question "What's most realistic?" we were assuming that you didn't have to suspend disbelief. Freakin' space ships and zombies and aliens, like what populate those two games, don't exist (duh). No, Halo is not realistic in that sense. If you're going to say something's realistic just because it's internally cogent in its story and its logic, then you could nominate most any game as being realistic. S***, let's go for Bioshock or Star Trek: Legacy as being the most realistic.
Uno for surecraig305
 yeah the most realistic card game on the 360! :P
seriously I find GRAW(2) and Rainbow6 very very realistic. and fun. Forza would be the most realistic racer
UNO probably. Since it plays just like real life.
But in terms of looks. Call of Duty 4 or GRAW2 probably take the cake.
No video game is really realistic in terms of gamplay. Too many variables in the real world. Like all this "Oh its realistic if it only takes one bullet to kill someone" crap. Thats not nearly true. Depends on the gun, the bullet, the distance, the conditions, the location of the hit, the person being hit, etc, etc

I think you can rate games as being more or less realisitc, instead of just throwing up your hands and saying none of them are. Example: One hit kills are more realistic than players being able to soak up an infinite amount of damage through health packs (legacy shooters) or just sitting around (COD 4, Halo, Gears, Rainbow Six). If you're hit in combat, even if it doesn't kill you, 99.9% of the time, you're out of the fight, which is even worse for combat power, because now one or two other guys have to look after you. For purposes of gameplay, one hit kills are more realistic. Therefore, shooters that incorporate this mechanic tend to have a higher level of realism than those that do not.

No matter what they do theres always another option thats more realistic. But the fact is, its a game if you want realism, join the army, be a professional boxer, win an Uno tournament. But just because one option is more realistic than the other do not deter from the fact that both options aren't very realistic at all. Not that its a bad thing, the last thing i want is to be playing Call of Duty and have to take the game back because i got shot and didn't respawn.
Definetly XBLA Pinball.kdt55
nah man you cant smack or lift the machine if the ball doesnt go the way you want it to go:P

Fair enough, but Call of Duty and Rainbow Six still resemble the real battlefield more than Quake and Halo.

For now. For all you know future battles will be exactly like Halo. Aliens and all.
