The 360 is held together by plastic clips along the seams and on the sides of the 360 that you have to push in with a small flat screw driver.

This shows you how its done.

Althoughwhy wouldanyone void their warranty just to "clean" their 360, perhaps your using "flash" as a cleaner?

I just cleaned my 360. Mine is an origianl launch unit! NEver broken, but since my warranty was up, I figured I would clean it. You need to make the little plastic clip openers for the back.... or I can sell you mine, they actually were a little hard, just be careful with the exacto knife. BUt if you really take your time and follow the tutorials, you CAN get it opne without making any marks what so ever. There is one little rubber foot you need to remove, and then glue/stick back on. A long skinny screw driver helps, but really look around for detialed instructions with good pics. Anyway, it is totaly worht it if you are carefull. I cleaned mine out with compressed air (never turn upside down or extreme angle or you'll freeze your board) and my 360 works much better. The biggest difference is that it is QUIET again! :-)

actually, in the manual it says NOT to do that, and if they took the time to add that to the manual, there must be a reason. lol

your prob is very simple as drinking water.

look DO NOT USE WATER on your optic because you will kiss it goodbye if you do that.

to clean the lens first get an ear cleaner cotton and spoil a side with alcohol and leave the other dry then press by your fingers on the spoiled side of the ear cotton till a just little of alcohol lift to clean it(if you dont do that you are risking to spoil the alcohol on the lens when you clean it) after that gently and very gently clean the driver lens then dry it by the dry side of the ear cleaner.

i used to that on my ps2 once a month and it always works.

good luck

How is your warranty expired? I thought everyone had 3 years from the day they bought the console.
