Is there really much demand for another mech game on 360?
The ones there are now tend to have small multiplayer communities, and those are often filled by people only wanting to get achievements rather than play the game

Theres been two and no the population wasn't people getting achivements but just about a dozen people who only really played those two games.
Well i thought i remember awhile back that when Microsoft scrapped Fasa Studios a small part of the team bought all the rights to their games franchises (you know Crimson Skies, Mech Warrior, Shadowrun, and others).
Now here is a link to the information... This is a Link!
So Microsoft doesn't really get to decide if the game ever gets made... And if it does it could possibly never be on a Microsoft Console.
SideNote: Some of the guys behind Crimson Skies are now working on Dark Void and it isn't with the Smith and Tinker group either so the team that worked on previous stuff has pretty much seperated completely. We may never see another MechAssault.
No to mech assault. A new Steel Battalion is what we need. I'd settle for a new Chromehounds (without the cheat laggers and boosters).ForlonHope
Problem is the best chance we have is for a new Mech Assault game mainly on the fact that Chromehounds and Steel Battalion weren't the biggest sellers and i don't know if Sega and Capcom would want to take the risk of trying again. Now Mech Assault would probably just sell based on the name...
