Hiya All, I'm looking for a good game that will last for a wile both solo player and online. I'm thinking Gears of War... and before I get flamed for being "That uber kid that never played GoW!!!11" I have to defend myself in saying that I played it with my friends alot, but never totally owned it. ;).. But I don't play it online, so I really don't know how that is. Or is there any other game out there that is worth the buy?.. (ps. I have Forza, R6 Vegas, and Shadowrun arleady)
I was going to say Forza 2, and Rainbow Six Vegas, but you already have those. I never got into Gears of War multiplayer, it was bad compared to Rainbow Six Vegas. It had great single player though, but short. If you have friends who play it on xbl you might have a lot of fun online though, and there's coop.

Gears is an excellent choice if you want a game that lasts. Whilst I say that, I know others would not agree with me. Gears of War online has kept me playing (and I am sitll playing it) for a long time now. Its such a good game and I am sure its had the same effect as me, on other people. Of course, it differs from person to person and I am sure there are plently of people that will say it won't last long. It really just depends on what you are into.
If you can give up the online playing, Dead Rising and Oblivion are brilliant games. I find Lost Planet's multiplayer to be pretty fun, but I don't like Gears of War myself...
Gears is pretty fun no matter what all the haters say. a lot people think that it is cool to hate on GoW and Halo 3, but they are both great or going to be great games.
Gears of War will last you a lifetime. Especially if you play co-op. But that said, I am 1 out of 100 people who feels that way about the game I think...

Whats your favorite genre?
Personally, I tend to lean toward First Person Shooters, but I'm not limited too that. I guess alot of people here are saying Oblivion and GoW are good choices. I will look into it. :) Thanks Guys.
if you can go with out multiplayer then oblivion will last a long time. otherwise i would have to say graw 1 or 2. i really enjoyed the campaign modes and still play both repetedly and i really enjoy the online community on the ghost recon games in general.
im probobly the one of the only people that isn't bored of the SP evern though i've beaten it on all 3 difficulties. I just can't get enough of the final chapter in act 2.*pop**pop**pop*...............(the sounds coming out of my speacker on that level)

I'm with you on that. I play SP and co-op still and I still love it to death.
