i thought ace combat and stuntman were just decent.. maybe even mediocre..
reeally dissapointed in what we got. hoped for atleast 1 game i wasthinking about getting :(
I was hopingfor an HP and a Bigs demo... it's like they delivered them just for me :) Happy friday the 13th, also.
You guys have unrealistic expectations -_-Staryoshi87
Not really. MS just put up some really mediocre demos this year. It's better to get out demos of good looking games so word spreads, but whatever.

It's actually a really good RPG, you just don't like something about it.

I disagree, I think they put up more than they needed to. Blue Dragon, Ace Combat, Harry Potter, stuntman, and the bigs were all games I wanted to try... and I'm more than satiated. Don't expect them to put up demos of games that won't be coming out for 2-4 months.... i.e. Assassin's creed, etc.

Lost Planet, Blacksite, and so on. Both of those are decent demos that came out months and months before release.

Lost Planet didn't come out that early, and also I knew you'd bring up Blacksite. That's midway... they needed to show off their center-piece early to remove some of the attention away from their less-than-the-best lineup this year. Plus, why demo Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, etc? They're going to sell Jillions of copies either way. Be happy we've gotten this much out of the new, un-improved E3.
They said there would be a Naruto, Assassin's Creed demo, etc anyway, right? Be patient..Staryoshi87

it's such a lame move not to have a demo just cause the game is hyped. i know they only care about money, and know the game will sell. but i will have a much higher opinion about them if they do a demo for us.
besides there's quite a few game i'm thinking of getting that all come out around the same time, it looks like it's going to go down to what game has the best demo (or maybe what game has A demo) and that's the one i'll buy.

Unfortunately, their business model does not revolve around you =/ They'll only make a demo if they feel the potential benefits outweight the cost of producing one. Also, didn't the AC chick say they were planning on a demo in her interview? Be patient...
When I woke up this morning I was excited because the past two days I have woken up to great demo's like Ace Combat and Stuntman Ignition. I wake up this morning to find....a sports game thats been out for 2 weeks and a Harry Potter demo?!?!?!?!? O well 2/3 I guess isnt that bad. Here's hoping that one more demo comes out today (Stranglehold would be nice)skinny_man_69I watched the Stranglehold interview last night and it looks wikid but he also said that there would be a demo coming out at the end of this month. The interview is on here if you want to watch it.

I understand everything your saying, I think the demos were good they put out. But that Lost Planet Demo was out atleast 3 months before the game was released. And it's actually people who want to check out The Bigs, Harry Potter, or even NCAA Football 08 before they get them. So thumbs up on the demos that came out from me.

dont their business models revolvearound us??? we buy their stuff, fuel their business ect, if they put out a demo and they sell more copies than previously predicted it was a good idea, besides it takes years to make a game how hard could it be to make a demo

Depends how big the demo is. Im sure it took Bungie quite a while to make the multiplayer demo (Cmon, we all know it was a demo! It ran better than most games out there). Look at the gameplay of Assasins Creed. If we have a whole city to move around then thats going to be huge. Its an open-ended style of game. Sandbox. In the E3 trailer for it, they showed the city of Jeruselum (dunno how to spell it). You could tell the city was huge, even if they blocked off part of the city similiar to the Saints Row demo that would still leave quite a bit of room.dont their business models revolvearound us??? we buy their stuff, fuel their business ect, if they put out a demo and they sell more copies than previously predicted it was a good idea, besides it takes years to make a game how hard could it be to make a demo

Not directly. Their goal is to sell their products to other businesses who in turn sell them to us. If they can sell a ton of copies to the intermediary businesses, they could give a crap about us. (Excluding Ninty)

What are you talking about? The Lost Planet Demo came out like 6 months before. :|
But why put out E3 demos for two games that were already out?
Not only that, but on the topic of hyped games getting demos, NCAA is a hyped game that a lot of people buy every year when it comes out, they still put out a demo for it. Same with Madden, the regularly have demos for that. It just seems a bit ridiculous that this is what we get.
But why put out E3 demos for two games that were already out?CNUrGames
if you think about it, there was no new demo's for a while.. soi would guess thatmicrosoft knew they didn't have many demo's coming out at E3, so they held a fewso they could release then with the "bring it home" tag on them.

I do remember getting frustrated that there were no demos coming out, especially with so many games coming out that I'm interested in getting. I honestly think if these developers are expecting me to go out and spend 500+ dollars this quarter and next, they need to show me something to keep me interested.

BIOSHOCK demo is far from unrealistic it actualy would make sense but instead I get demos of games I wouldn't even poke with a stick let alone play them.
Ace Combat - it was OK
Blue Dragan - prefer eternal Sonata
surfs up - mediocre
stunt man - really frustrating and totaly not fun to play
