Well Walmart was an absolute mess

So I get to walmart around around 7:45 to try and get an xbox 360 arcade with the free $100 gift card and there were probably 100-150 people in line, I decided to wait thinking I might have a slight chance of getting one and a guy walks down the aisle that just bought one and he says he'll sell it to me for $100. I dont have any idea why he would want to do that, but Im a pround new owner of an xbox 360

nope brand new xbox, already took it out of the box works great

So he walks in, spends $200 on the Xbox, sells the Xbox for $100, and walks out with a $100 gift card having spent $100 on it?

Is this guy an idiot or does he just like to waste time?

well he probably paid around $215 with tax so I have no idea why the hell he did it, but I sure am happy lol

*Before tax

The Man's Money
-Guy buys Arcade console, pays $200 (-200)
-Guy gets $100 back from e-giftcard package (-100)
-Guy then sells you Xbox for $100 (0)
-Guy breaks even, but $100 of his money is now on an e-giftcard

Your Money
-You wait in line, paying $0 (0)
-Guy approaches you with Xbox, you pay $100 (-100)
-You save $100 on regular Xbox price, making your purchase equivalent to receiving the e-giftcard (0)
-Technically, you break even as well, but your money is in your pocket instead of on a giftcard.

If so, I assume the guy simply wanted the e-giftcard probably in relation to Christmas. Or..Maybe he knows something we don't about using this e-giftcard at the specified website. Who knows??

Just an FYI, the deal is going on at Walmart.com with a $100 e-card and Amazon had the same deal this morning at it sold out in less than a minute. However, Amazon is having the deal later today as well, part of their Saturday Gold Box deals or something.

it's easy to tell if the packaging was opened once you get inside the box. With regards to the whole go to your car, switch the xbox thing.

but yeah, the guy might as well have just bought a $100 gift card and skipped the xbox. All he did was break even, and he actually lost money because of tax. Real smart dude.

Well it is deffiniently new everything was sealed when i opened it up, I didnt think about the stolen credit card thing but how am I supposed to know. He bought one of the cheap laptops too so maybe he is just a really nice guy

I also went to Walmart for this deal thinking I could get a nice x-mas present for my nephew. I get there around 6:30am and there seems to be around 500 people near the entrance, I'm thinking, well, there are several "sales" going on so perhaps most are waiting for TV's and such. Anyhow, the door opens and they mob through like a herd of buffalo.I keep my head, and just walk very fast towards the section I believe the x-box's are at, 2-3 minutes maybe.

I see a crowd of people and a lot of them are carrying more than just one, wtf? Wasn't this limited to one person per purchase? So, All GONE! I was so angry. I complained to the manager.If their going to run an ad, then they should state they have limited stock, cause seriously, I could have acted like one of those "mobs" and got my x-box. They should have handed out tickets. Did Walmart think?

He would have still lost money as tax isn't computed until after a purchase in the United States--unlike the UK and AU where tax is included in the price you see.
