That depends so far it hasnt happend to me with halo 3. But i didnt get hyped for brawl i got what i expected, an average game.

Do I get a cookie for sayign neither? I think hype is for half wits. You get yourself excited over say 16 pictures and movie that doesnt even show ACTUAL gameplay. You then put it in your head that for no good reason, this game that you hyped yourself up over is going to be the best of all time. You get the game and its missing things you thought would be in the game that would make it a hit. The game utterly fails in your eyes and you trade it in to get 24.95$ and gamestop.

And that is why hype is for half wits. Just keep track of a game you find interesting and rather than get your hopes up about it, just keep it out of your mind. Prevent yourself from getting giddy over nothing but lame screens and essays that tell you whats going to be in the game(though it can be a lie).

GTAIV... I actually didn't want Halo 3 when it was first released, but I got it and played it for a while. In my opinion it is an average shooter.

Not me, if i am hyped for a game i simply pre-order it instead of camping at night, but it must be excitng. Anyhow i was pleased and liked halo 3. You guys act like it did bad GS gave it a 9.5. 5 points away from a perfect score.
