What a dissapointment!

Have you guys seen the reviews for all the new games coming out? Nothing seems to be getting over a 7 or 8. I was really looking forward to Kane and Lynch, but now I think I might just rent it along with Blacksite Area 51 and Assasins Creed. I think the only game I will be buying that is coming out this week will be Soldiers of Fortune, has anyone played it yet?

yea but the average score is 8.4. which isn't bad per say, but not what people wanted to hear with all the hype sourrounding it. this thread is most likely gonna get locked up due to the fact that there's already an AC stciky up.

army of two will be better than kane and lynch.

yeah, that sounds kind of fishy to me.

IGN gave it a 7.7 and 1Up gave it a 7.6.

Gamespot is a lot higher than I have seen anywhere else.

my guess is that Soldiers of Fortune will get between 6.0 and 8.0 as a far as reviews are coming out, and dont get high hopes with Mass Effect score either.

I think you mean Assassins Creed if I'm not Mistaken.

Kane and Lynch was sad, I expected better, but Army of Two does look very promising, Mass Effect is just, Yummy, COD4 is a blas to play, expecially online, and Assassins Creed seems to be getting mixed reviews but the general concensus is that it is a good game.

With all that said im happy with the way things are going.

man DO NOT buy soldier of Fortune!!!! my friend just bought it today and after installing and playing a little bit IMMEDIATELY wanted to return it.... there is no chat whatsoever in multiplayer (voice or text)... and its almost a broken game he said... heed my words... he was a huge fan of the originals but says this one pales in comparison, he was very disappointedajefferism

Army of Two will flop. It's almost a garuntee. Anyone who expected Kane & Lynch to be any good must be new to gaming. Previews usually end in "This game is shaping upto be good".

Consider this. The bigger the marketing budget, the better quality the game. Not always is this true, but a lot of times it is. Halo 3, COD4, GTA, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed are just to name a few.

Assassin's Creed is basically a matter of opinion. After playing it for about 7 hours, it's becoming repetitive. That doesn't make it a bad game though. While repetitve, it's still fun. I think it's better than Splinter Cell and PoP combined, in which that's basically what it is.

Gametrailers.com gave it a 8.0

Kane and Lynch and the lower Assassin's Creed scores on other sites came to a surprise to me. I had high hopes for both, and still do for Assassin's Creed. Hopefully I'll pick up a copy of Assassin's Creed this weekend, since I'm scheduled to get my repaired Xbox by then.

As for Mass Effect, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it got a 10, no matter how unlikely it is. After reading the review in this month's Official Xbox Magazine, Mass Effect looks like it might just be the best and most important game to come along in years.
