Most of you here are from totally different generations and so it seems nothing is wrong with it...So I guess I shouldnt have even posted. Just a let down of trash, the offbeat joke, the not so hot calebraty here and there and it really has nothing to do with videogames...jmo
I don't watch those gaming awards, G-Phoria (or whatever it is/was called) and Spike VGA. You are right though, they are lame and are littered with trash and are too unprofessional. I'd really like to see an awards show with some elegance or something, not a bunch of porn stars running around with bad cosplay.
Man you put it into words for me. I couldnt describe it That one girl, you could freaking see everything and she was ugly. WTH DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH HALO. Really, This year in Video games should be respected as.. Well the best year in video games. I dont take that seriously, nor to i take any awards thing seriously i know what i love. I mean it'd be great to see cod4 get a ton of stuff, which it deserves but honestly i dont think it will. its like Student council, its a popularity contest.
I like G-Phoria as well. Spike's VGA isnt bad but it fits better for casual gaming. Thats why its represented the way it is.
EDIT: If this is how Video games are represented, no wonder why Jack Thompson and others see video games as a bad thing.

lol the show sucked must we put it under a microscope. its all just a bunch of advertisment. they think if we see the name of a video game painted on a naked model with fake boobs we will buy it. not that i wont buy some of the games mentioned above.

I agree somewhat. Half the ppl on stage talking about the games probably wouldnt know how to hold a controller or how to use WASD. The whole theme of the show was blek. It is SPIKE TV after all...the naked painted women were to be expected...its a mens network. The equivelant of the womens network Oxygen but for men.
