I know you can't play without a disk, but what advantages does it give you?

Less noise, faster load times(on most games), less strain on the wimpy dvd drive, less heat generation.
Faster load times, the system is quieter and there's less wear and tear on your 360. Also, many think that it reduces chances of RROD because the disc drive doesn't spin nearly as much, creating less heat, etc.
Fater Loading times, reduced heat,I heard it makes your xbox last 3 times longer, and it is sooo much quieter.
It must do something, because my xbox 360 would freeze quite a lot when playing GTA4 or The Orange Box, however once I installed the games to the hardrive they played perfectly fine. Takes up a hefty amount of hard drive space though, I'm glad I waited around for 60Gb hard drives cause otherwise that wouldn't really be a decent solution.
tbh when I installed games on my HDD I never saw any advantages, infact, games took longet to load for me. :s :/AxlRoseIsMyDadYou're doing it wrong.
