I have a Mac so i can't play many MMORPG's on it. They are my favorite type of game. I have an Xbox360 as my main counsel and i am dieing for them to release an MMORPG that is solid and builds a large fan base so there will be many players online. I thought Two worlds was gonna be solid but it stunk. The solo play was not bad but the online play sucked. It was laggy and then it would just freeze up. I never played more then 10 minutes with my friends while online. My one wish is for them to release just one Kick @ss MMORPG for the X-box Live. I do not think that is to much to ask for. Since the X-box is created by a computer company u'd figure its capable of running a kick @ss one. So let me know what you have heard about upcoming MMORPG's, When it is supposed to release and also list your opinions of what you think would be a good idea for an MMORPG like take something from a book you have read, a movie you have seen or anything you can think of. I know age of Conan was released for the comp. i checked out the pictures and game info months before it released and it seemed intense. Since it has been out i havent really heard n e thing to great about it. As long as it is solid, is not laggy, and has tons of ppl online to interact with and help kill bad guys, or good guys depending on your style i'll b happy with that.
You have a Mac so you can play World Of Warcraft ;) with all expansions that should keep a player busy for a long time. An FF 11 is the only MMORPG on the 360. They tend not to do those games on consoles cause of the downloadable content, need for a good way of communication (except the headset you'd need a kb and mouse probably), and heavy server load. Anyway, If you have an Intel Mac you can install Windows on Bootcamp (or VMware) and play windows titles anyway.
I do play wow, i have a lvl 66 knight elf hunter and a lvl 52 dark elf paladin...but i want another u kno, for the Xbox, somethin a lil more realistic or just somethin different u kno, if they came out with a star wars one for x-box, or somethin with a different story line...i heard they r creating a DC online game.
You could try out Phantasy Star Universe on the 360. It's not exactly a mmo, more like an online rpg. No wide open worlds like most mmo's, just a series of lobbies and missions. The lobbies are open, but the missions are closed to 6 players at a time. There is an expansion that came out last year, you can download it on the marketplace. The expansion is basically a necessity as most of the popular missions and the best gear is all expansion only.
The game has been out for 2 years this October so keep in mind the game is starting to get to that point of decline. The game has some flaws, but it has kept me playing for the entire 2 years. The subscription fee runs ten dollars a month.
If you're willing to wait awhile, Huxley and Champions Online are supposed to come out sometime next year.
Thanks for telling me about Champions online...I just checked it out...it looks great. That is exactly the style i am looking for...I love comics and to b able to create your own super hero is awesome...when u create your super hero it says u also create your arch nemesis who will get in your way through out all your quests and adventures..i am pumped...it says it will b coming out spring 2009...very cool. Has anyone played city of hero's/villains? if so how is it?
