What are the chances I get RROD'd if I buy an Elite???

I heard the Elite has less chances of occuring RROD, is it true?

Elites nowadays do havea lesser chance of overheating.But if you are not careful with it, you still have a 10% chance of it getting it.Just remeber t keep it in a well-ventilated enviroment, and try not to leave it on (running a game) more than 3 hours straight.

I got one, hasen't gone RROD yet and it looks much cooler then my old white one, died on me last year (when I bought the elite).

I think it all depends on how you treat it. I have an Elite after owning a few premiums. My Elite is well ventilated and has a cooling fan on the back of it. I have never gotten the Red Ring of Death and I have been known to leave my 360 on overnight. I have had problems with past 360's but never my Elite.

I keep my premium well ventilated and have gamed on it for well over three hours before without a problem. The only problem I had with it was when the disk drive went south on me. Within the next week or so I should have my Elite.

It would be lower than the Premium I guess but you should still take care of it because it can still happen.

if you get the elite with Go Pro on the packaging then that is the new chipset and what not which is better and less chance of getting the RROD

My brother's elite RRODd.... but he falls asleep while playing it all the time and leaves it on overnight. Look on ebay for the Nyko intercooler EX... Mine was only $14 after shipping and my xbox has been nice and cool.

I don't see why everyone is so scared of playing for more than a few hours? I used to play all day on weekends with my launch console and I never got the RROD.

just don't stand you xbox vertical cause it blocks vents, don't get an intercooler, don't have it on the ground, don't block the back vent, and you should never get the RROD

wrong! My Elite red ringed like 2 weeks ago so I bought the arcade and now have to send my elite to MS and hope to god i dont get another broken one.

I have an elite and have played for hours. I use a power filter to clean up the power supply and a intercooler to help in cooling. I have never had RROD yet. If you goto the link below it has some suggestions on preventing RROD.
