Well unfortunately I could only put 5 options in the poll. If you have another reason just leave a post.:) Me I try to keep all my games because I know eventually I'll probably want to pop 'em in again sometimes just for nostalgia's sake. ;)

I keep them because I like collecting. Although, I do support GameStop by buying from them whenever there's a console game I want.

I've never traded in a game in my life and never plan on doing so, other than possibly trade in my copy of God or War for the God of War Collection since I never got to play God of War II.

I can't say I have NEVER traded anything in because I would be lying. But that was when I was young and didn't have money or good decision making ability. I never trade in anything now. Back in the N64 days I used to and Gamestop turned around and shipped all of that stuff to other countries. You used to be able to get Mario 64 for $5. Now it's $15 because they are all in India. If I could trade something in and get $20, and buy a newly released used game for $40, then maybe I would because it would be fair. As it stands when I am paying $60 for a new game, and they want to give me $20 for a game that is 2 weeks old, I will pass every time.

Id rather keep them than get rid of them for ridiculously low amounts. Or just sell them elsewhere where you can get more value. Gotta stick it to the corporate pigs at gamestop

When one of my ex's and I broke up, he left a bunch of PS1 games at my house the next day that I traded in, and that was the only time I did. Places like Gamestop give you like 1/4th the actual value they sell the game for, so it's kind of a rip-off to ever trade in a game.

I used to turn in old games but stopped ever since Gamestop became a b*tch about actually giving you anything for them. I remember when I could turn in a two year old copy of madden for atleast 5-7 dollars, now you get $1! I don't know what to do with some of my old games because they are taking up space and I can't get rid of em.

Everytime I have ever sold a game that I enjoyed the first time around I have later regretted it. It also makes building a respectable collection impossible.

C: If I planned on trading the game in I wouldn't have bought it in the first place.

i keep all my games because trade in value isn't worth it. i usually buy games that i like very much and i want to keep them. unless i make a mistake and buy something really aweful like chromehounds.

I keep them no matter how bad or how shallow the replay factor is. You never know what is going to become popular and fetch a lot of money later on. If I do decide to get rid of a game I'll sell it on ebay. At least Ill recoop a lot more money than on Gamestop.

I'd only ever consider trading in a game if I completed EVERYTHING and still got a fair bit of money for it. Usually, by the time I complete everything in a game, the value has decreased and if I were to trade it in, I would make a loss of about £20

I **** hate gamestop. but it sucks that they basically have the monopoly on things here. There simply is no other competitors for dealing with the selling or trading of used games and equipment here.

I used to despise Gamestop because of this, but you can only blame them so much. It's all the idiots who willingly receive 1 or 2 dollars for their games that give them OK to keep doing it. I rather put them on ebay or half.com, I always get a bit more than what GS offers.

I'll only trade back okay games, or worse, or ones that I will be able to pick up for less then I sold them back for down the road. Oh, and only if I can get alot for them. For example, my last trade in, I got an extra 5 dollars per game for Mercs 2, CoD 3, Endwar, and BF BC(my first 360 game! Hated SP, and I'm waiting for 2) and got 44 dollars towards ODST, and had enough left over to buy a year of live. :)

For the most part I'll keep a game until I'm aboslutely sure that I don't want to play through it again. I do this mostly for games that don't have multiplayer and either have sequels coming out or already have sequels.

It depends on my wallet i guess:/..if i have the cash to buy a new game without breaking into my collection thats great,if not then yea i'll sell games i fell im finished with.

And to anyone selling..if possible i highly recomend selling and buying on ebay as the exchange rate is way higher than what a shop will give you, just last month i bought afro samurai and sillent hill:homecoming....afro for 15 and sillent hill for 20...when i needed cash for a new title i sold those 2 as i was finished with them..i got my 15 back for afro and i get 22 for sillent hill :o

I never trade games in, but do buy preowned games sometimes. I love having a large collection of games, both to look at, and so that regardless of my mood I have something great to play - FPS, RPG, RTS, racing, sports, fighitng, music. The only time I would consider selling or trading a game is if I've finished it / had enough of it and really didn't enjoy it. That is quite rare as I try to look up every game before I buy, but the odd bad apple sometimes slips through. Even then it's disappointing to see the amount shops offer for games, even if they are still selling the preowned copies at near full price.

I use to trade in games, but have stopped as I've become a collector and the games have more sentimental value than the $15 gamestop would give me. Also a good place to buy and sell used games if you want to is Gamecrazy. They're usually combined with Hollywood Video and sell their used games for cheaper and give more trade-in value.

I keep all my games because I only have a handful of them and they're all AAA titles. Halo, Gears, COD, Forza, ect.

If a new game's coming out that I really want, I trade in some games that I never play. I purchased Brutal Legend for $25 the day it came out. (I traded 2 games in, neither of them were new, LEft 4 Dead and Something else).

my thoughts are as followed: I in principle object to trading in my games cause i never get what i paid for. However, there are always those times when a new game I REALLY want is coming out and i'm like 10 to 15 bucks short and i just can't wait another day or week to get it. So what i do is lay out all my game and pile up the ones i will never trade and pile up those i really don't but will because i want the new game..

I really don't like to do it and I rarely do it now but if there is a game I really have no interest in, then I will trade it in.

The only games I would trade in are games that I do not like. If I even slightly like a game, I will keep it.
