What are your thoughts on Call of Duty 5 World at War

It all depends on if you enjoy COD4 gameplay and if you can handle it in a WW2 setting with larger maps and some vehicles. My only complaint is the spawns but, it's always the spawns on COD games so.. what can I say.

Same create a class system, same menus, same gameplay. New maps, different guns, and coop including the nazi zombies. I think it's good but it gets alot of hate.

i own the game and it is almost exactly the same as cod4 so if you like cod4 then you will like this. the thing that is good about this cod5 is that higher level you are get better weapons unlike in cod4 the best smg was the mp5 its the first smg you get the best sniper in cod4 was the first one m16 is one of the best assault rifles in the game and you start out with it. another thing that is fun about cod5 is nazi zombies it actually made me want to beat the story mode before i played matchmaking. people say tanks are cheap in cod5 and they really aren't unless you play hardcore then it will rape like your whole team at once. this is something that i like but you might not but you have to get 25 kills to get the sniper scope for your bolt action rifle so there is a lot less campers and i really mean a lot less campers. i think dogs are much better than helicopters because you get probably more kills with it and if your good at it you can kill the dogs and never die from them. the story mode i think is just as good as cod4. it is cool in the campaign when the japs are hidden in the grass and they come out and try to stab you. you might be wondering how is there gun attachments if it is ww2 but there is. for most smgs the first thing you unlock is a silencer then the next thing is a sight that is like a red dot sight and the last is a round drum that gives you twice the amount of bullets in one clip. for a bolt action you get a sniper scope then a bayonet and then a rifle grenade which is like a noob tube. my favorite attachment is probably a bipod it goes on lmg and hmg what it does is make your gun basically a turret.

you can not climb trees and i dont think there is going to be a patch. but i forgot mention that after getting to level 3 you get the first sniper the springfield which starts with a sniper scopefatcat13sep

I really liked it. I am a fan of WWII (i don't get tired of it) and i had a lot of fun with the campaign. The online was even better. It is has the same addicting feel as COD4 with improved visuals. However as many people point out, it isn't as good as COD4, however it still is a good game. Beware though spawn campers are everywhere in TD

its classic call of duty, intense, bloody and many guns ,,, and best of all it lets you kill zombie nazis :D you get a couple of friends together and that mode rocks, well long as you dont play it to death

I wasn't going to get this. I have played all previous ones before but was on the fence about this one. Don't really know why, maybe just occupied by other games.

Best Buy has it for 35 and now I just can't resist. I mean come on, that is a steal!

I guess i will throw in my 2 cents. Ill be honest i like COD:WAW but there are more things i dislike then COD4.

Ill try to break them down the best i can. I certain modes like WAR or Domination there is alot of crap that goes on COD:WAW alot more then COD4, you can understand if you played COD4 but in WAR there is even more. Like GAS now and dogs and artillery. Gas and Artillery become VERY VERY annoying because it lasts so damn long. So your screen alot of the times is basically all over the place especially on the smaller maps. Spawns in WAW seem to be worse, hit detection can be a pain in the butt unless you got a very good connection or host.

Maps are bigger and more detail but there are for more campers, and if your playing modes nobody does the objective eveyone sits back or ill be honest plain out sux. Also the maps have alot more Crap so you will get stuck on things or objects will get in your way or your gernades will take rediculous bounces things like that.

Tanks are beyond annoying why because alot of times it takes a team effort to destroy them, i dont think you can kill a tank by yourself i mean two rockets doesnt blow it up. Maybe c4 im not sure i know it takes alot so they become very annoying and nobody will help you blow it up ever.

But one thing i personally love more then COD4 is the CO-OP Campaign were you can play the campaign up to 4 people. It is FANTASTIC nothing else i can say. ZOMBIE mode i think you play up to 4 people as well. There are 3 rooms and chest were you get guns at random and you kill zombies as they try to get into the rooms. Honestly it i fun the first 5 times then it plane out sux. I honestly dont know how people play it over and over again but to each their own. Well i hope i helped.

dogs and the airstrikes are way better than the air and heli from COD4. Theres little tweaks that make the game better than cod4, but honestly its not a huge diff, its basically the same game, and so it doesnt really end up feeling like something all that great, it seems like an addon to cod4.

I bought CoD5 first day it came out, I got frustrated pretty quickly with the campaign, it felt like I've done these exact same missions before.

Then I played the multiplayer. With that you always have some little kid jumping into the tanks right away and getting the seven kills to get the dogs. the guns suck, and you could totally tell they threw this turd together in under a year.
