What are your thoughts on MLG?

I don't care about them and for the most part I don't know jack about them.

I'm pretty sure it's a leauge of competitive gamers and if thats the truth then I probably don't like em. I hate the super competitive type.

I feel mostly hostile to the whole "Pro Gamer" thing. it seems that everytime I run into and MLG player they are rude and wayyyyy to cocky. You get guys on GOW and Halo that are so competitive it doesn't make anything fun. When you lose to an MLG player they tell you your "Garbage" and they call you a "scrub" even if you lost by 1 kill. I now not all MLG gamers are like that. It just seems like a majority are. I am in a clan but we don't bother with MLG stuff. Not because we suck but because we like to have fun.honkyjoe

why? its the same thing as physical sports except its mental. thats like saying football is stupid. beleive or not mlg will be mainstream just like the nfl,nhl,nba,mlb, etc

I can definitely imagine that happening.

But I never met any MLG gamers online before, well.... maybe I have but they don't say and brag about themselves. I watched some videos online but that's about it, I don't know much about MLG.

Most of the pro gamers are cool its the ones that think that they are going to be pro that are going to call you aa noob for beating them. The pro gamers you wont beat.

Edit: My bad I mean you wont beat them if there together if there alone there no better than you or me if you play alot.

I think competitive gaming is pretty cool. I wouldn't participate in it myself, but I respect those who do. I play for fun, not to win or lose, and I have more respect for a lesser skilled player with a good attitude, than a higher skilled player with a poor attitude. In my experience, MLG players are usually great at the game, but have such a bad attitude that I dont even want to play with them anymore. I would much rather be on the losing team with a bunch of cool people than be on the winning team with people who flame everyone else at every opportuniy.

I like the idea of MLG, but I don't like the overly-cocky, disrespectful attitude some of these players show. But that's just my opinion..

I think it's great, and fun to watch. I even participate in GameBattles which I think is a great idea to have some good competition.SnipeyMcSnipe

I used to be in an UT2004 team, and it's fun to play with a team that you trust. It's fun to watch a team that works well together too.

I think of MLG as a stupid name that people like to throw around to show that they are pro. Its annoying when I go into matches and people are like..."I been to MLG and now its taught me how to own people in matchmaking" Then Me and my team slaughters them and they back out calling us cheaters.
