I can only think of one to be honest. So here is my list.
1.
2. Gears 2
3.
4.
5.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Since Gears 2 is the only one on your list, shouldn't it be number 1 by default? Anyway, here's my list:
1.
2.
3.
4. Gears 2
5.
Because even though I can't think of another one, I don't like giving it number 1 by default. This may be a very harsh comparison but if you had to give an award for the best smelling object and your only choices were vomit and diarrhea would you really say either was deserving?ALLoY1717Good point I suppose.
Of this year...
1. Tales of Vesperia
2. Gears of War 2
3. Fable 2
4. Lost Odyssey
5. Too Human
Pretty sure those are the only Xbox 360 exclusives I have played that came out this year. I'm planning on trying Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant soon which would both go above Too Human but w/e.
Gears of War 2, Halo 3 and Fable 2 are the only good exclusives I've played this year. the rest were sorta "meh"orb_03_2006Halo 3 was last october.
woah not being a fanboy hear but i didnt think there wer so few 360 exclusives this year oh well Gears 2 so far played it at mates house coop is insanedelta4062
So few? I've played a lot of exclusives. I'll forgive you, though, because it doesn't sound like you own a 360. :)
[QUOTE="Making_Pudding"]LOL.Yeah why did he put it at number 2.Why that made me laugh hard I don't know.Because gears is second to none? :PSince Gears 2 is the only one on your list, shouldn't it be number 1 by default? Anyway, here's my list:

3.
4. Gears 2

the 360 seems to be lacking exclusivesphilip6k
Nope. I own Wii, PS3, 360, and PC -- I've enjoyed about the same amount of exclusives across all the platforms.
5 gears of war 2
4 left 4 dead
3 gears of war
2 fable 2
1 halo 3
munchlax99
on arcade i like bomberman live, braid and a couple others8)
For me... Lost Odyssey and Naruto: Broken Bond.
Naruto will probably catch some hate but I like the anime and I like online fighting games. I played the prior game for like 200+ hours online and i've probably played the new one for like 40+ in like 3 weeks.
I haven't played these games, but based off reviews they seem to be pretty good: Tales of Vesperia (I will buy when its $40), Gears 2 & Fable 2 (I think i'll buy it eventually), Banjo 3
Does it worry any of you that most of us can't think of 5 exclusive titles in a year that we would put in a top 5 list? And on top of that does it worry you that the ones we can think of are sequels in existing franchises?
Seriously it is stuff like this that will kill gaming for people.

Gamers are doing it to themselves. There's been plenty off new stuff out there, like Nuts & Bolts, Lost Odyssey, etc, but most gamers ignore them and go straight for Gears 2. These are the same people that ran out at midnight to buy Halo 2, yet let Psychonauts sit on store shelves. It's not the devs and pubs fault, it's the gamers fault.

Nuts and Bolts isn't new, it is the continuation of an N64 franchise called Banjo Kazooie. And while yes Lost Odyssey is a new IP it doesn't stand out too much as a true great and secondly not all gamers like RPG's.[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"][QUOTE="ALLoY1717"]Does it worry any of you that most of us can't think of 5 exclusive titles in a year that we would put in a top 5 list? Nuts & Bolts IS new, and it is in no way a continuation of the Banjo-Kazooie franchise from the N64. It's a brand new kind of game with a brand new name, just because it has the same 2 characters attached to it doesn't make it the same game. It's not called Banjo-Threeie for a reason.
And that's all subjective. Most people who have played Lost Odyssey think it's amazing, and that the game stands out very well, but once again, the gamers are attracted only to the hype that surrounds shooters these days.
As I said, there's a lot out there, but it's the gamers fault for only going with the super duper hyped shoot 'em up games, not the devs or the pubs.

OK, here mine goes....I can't do just this year, haven't played that many games this year:
1. Hour of Victory (best FPS EVER)
2. Battlezone
3. History Channel: Battle for the Pacific
4. Pirates vs. Ninjas : Dodgeball
5. Looney Toons Acme Aresenal
Doesn't bother me at all. I only care about getting good games. 360 had a crapton of good games. I didn't play 5 exclusives, but I played way more than 5 good games on the 360 this year. Outside of Nintendo (because the last time they got good 3rd party support was all the way back in the 90s with the SNES), i've never judged a console solely by its exclusives. As far as sequels go, theres nothing new under the sun. Very few developers do anything new. Most new IPs are basically the same as something else, except a crummier version of it.Does it worry any of you that most of us can't think of 5 exclusive titles in a year that we would put in a top 5 list? Is Nuts and Bolt's a new IP?
By that logic every single Final Fantasy game was brand new.
It is surprising to see how many responses did not include Fallout 3. Another surprise was to see Lost Odyssey in so many choices and this was one great game that did not get its just reward. Outstanding for me were Gears 2, Fable 2, NHL 09 and the ever popular Lost Odyssey.FlashCharge
Fallout 3 isn't exclusive.

Flawed logic. You said it was a continuation of the N64 franchise, which isn't entirely true. If it were a continuation it would've been called Banjo-Threeie. And also, Nuts & Bolts is a new IP with the same characters. Nuts & Bolts is a new property within the franchise, and anyone who played Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie would not try to ever compare those to Nuts & Bolts.

A continuation of a franchise doesn't mean it is a continuation of story. Is it or is it not continuing the series from the N64? Yes it is. Does that make it a new IP? No it does not. Simple.
And what do you mean flawed logic? Are you calling your own logic flawed, because I was simply applying what you said to another franchise.

Nope, it's not continuing the series from the N64, and that's why it's not called Banjo-Threeie, and it's not a traditional platformer. Simple, really.
