now i realize this might qualify for the floated thread but i don't think my xbox is broken(i also doubt i would get an answer in there). I got a system error saying that i needed to call customer support and i would like to avoid that if i can. I got 1 red light in the bottom right of my xbox and the code it gave me was E 74 i think.

This is the same thing i got when i firdt turned on my 360 3 months ago but then i had it plugged into an extension cord and i moved it to an outlet(albeit a crappy one) and it has been working fine. I have noticed some things changing latley but i did also recently run a dvd-r in there and i don't know what is happening.

PLease help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try what he said and also try unplugging the Xbox 360 outlet and plugg it back in. I had a few errors like USB port problems but was fixed by unplugging it.

im gonna try a new outlet before i call. Quite frankly im pretty afraid of what they will tell me. Although i looked it up on another forum and it said that this is specific error is usually my av cables. I also have noticed a change in my gears of war appearence too. But the disc does have a large scratch in it caused when my 360 fell over while it was vetical while i ws playing gears. but that was a while back ad other than some origanal disk reading problems i havent had any trouble with it
