what you think about the forza demo?
i think it was ok

It was good, the jaggies weren't that bad(only noticed them when I looked closely)Â I agree it could have shown off more of the game.
Â
Oh and thanks for making his topic to give me something positive to think about because the Halo 3 beta is starting wednesday and I'm not in it:cry:Â
The demo to this game was fantastic. The graphics are awsome and running at a smooth 60fps.Â
Everyone harps on the jaggiez on the car reflections, I only notice them on the start of the race, and when the game gets going you don't notice them at all. Sound is absolutely awsome, and the amount you can do with this game is gonna have this game playing on my 360 for at least 2 to 3 years, or at least untili Forza 3 comes out.
A "must" for any racing sim fans. Prediction 9.1 to 9.3 for this game, easily.....
i think it was good coulda put another track on there though and show a little more of the game, i seemed to get alot of jaggies on the car models at times thats the only bad thing i thought. cant wait for the full gameDarthShinzo
on my old hdtv i used to think that it didnt look that great, and the car models definately had a lot of jaggies, but my new 1080p makes this game look just beautiful. no jaggies to be seen anywhere. it looks perfect. but, i still dont like the way the game plays though. i want pgr4.
There was a great selection of vehicles available but the graphics on the track didn't impress me as I thought they would.Thorpe89
What were you hoping for other than miles and miles of gray?
the demo was disapointing there were 2 many jaggies and the cars were harder to control. I thought it would be better:(

I'll put it like this: I liked everything about it, except driving. I thought this would be the game to get me back into racing sims...but I don't know anymore.Staryoshi87
I thought it qas garbage, the controls were garbage, the graphics weren't "amazing". It was probally the worst racing game I've ever played. It was the most unreal realistic racing game I've played. I didn't know cars lost traction on wide turns a 50 mph -.- I should go get on the highway and try this. Better yet, my little one lane road I live on has sharper turns I can take a 70 -.-Southwind20CIts funny that you say 'It was the most unreal realistic racing game I've played" cause I was kinda thinking the complete opposite. With the FF Wheel you can really feel the road, every bit of under or oversteer is transfered through the wheel realisticly. Some people just don't do sims though, I had a wheel with the last forza and some of my friends could barly keep a car on the road. 100% throtle all the time and never even thinking about the applying the brake before a turn, then they get up after one try and say "this game sucks".
I really liked the graphics and most of the gameplay. The parts I did not enjoy were the sounds and some gameplay elements. Sound-wise it's the best console racer I've ever heard, but it still falls short. The engine sounds don't have nearly enough punch, but I like the fact that I can hear the engine going and the supercharger whine coming from my rear speakers when I use the Ford GT (I love that car).
Gameplay-wise, it's too easy to lock up the brakes. Brakes don't lock at 30% threshold, that's just craziness. I'm also disappointed that you can't crush the cars into little tiny pieces, but I'm also insane. Oh and some car's hood views don't work. So there are a few nuances that will stop this from being the "ultimate" racer for me, but all in all it's good.
Just remembered the last thing - NO CAR CLUBS!! Not like I really played Forza or was in a car club, but I hear it was awesome. I can't believe they would remove something like that yet spout all their "racing community" crap.
I wasn't very impressed unless they get rid of those awful jaggies I'm not buying it, it almost looks like forza 1.ReU_GanJa
Forza 1 had a frame rate of 30 which put me right off it.
this has a much better frame rate and its a demo so the graphics will be sorted in the full game. Although I think the car models look very simple compared to GT.
And I still can't help thinking that it's just a little bit too boring.
I tried driving into walls at very high speed to see what the damage was like but you cannot completely wrek your car just mess up the body.
I would have liked to see wheels flying off and windscreens shattering and smoke pouring out.
This is meant to be next - gen after all.
