Bioshock, Mass Affect or Halo 3 are the biggest contenders.

 

as much of a halo fanboy as I am, my vote goes for Bioshock, simply because there hasn't been a decent fully single player game in god knows how long and it's really refresing to see one.

Well if BioShock can live up to the fame that people have been been giving it then BioShock and Mass Effect will be in a close race. Halo 3 is going to be great I'm not giving it GOTY Glory just yet

Well if you look back, all of the GTA's and all of the Halo games have gotten Game of the Year at one point in time, so my vote is either GTA4 or H3... If Halo 3 is all it's cracked up to be, it will be no contest, Halo 3 will win it... The only reason it might not win Game of the Year, is if it isn't made this year, which I highly doubt will happen.........

the choices are:

- Halo 3

- GTA 4

-mass effect

-bioshock

 

i say halo 3, just cause its halo 3. no biasness attached. however, if it is released too late, then GTA or maas effect

r we forgetting about what happened in '04? didn't GTA;SA and halo 2 launch that very same year, heck that very same month, HECK if i am not mistaken, it was only a mere week (though i could be wrong) between the 2 games release dates, and what game got GOTY then???!?!?!? That's right people, GTA;SA was the winner. Well guess what??!! it's happening again, not around the same month per say, but the same year, so i have a hunch that history will indeed repeat itself once more just watch!!!!!!!!!! Halo is a good game, but i guess 2 reviewers it pales 2 comparison with GTA 4 some unknown reason

Even if it isn't the best I'm sure Halo 3 will be GOTY because of its immense popularity.

 

Mass Effect will be my personal GOTY though, I'm sure.

 I think Mass Effect will be the best game, but I think that Halo 3, or GTA IV will get GOTY simply because of their mass appeal, not pun intended.

Bioshock or GTA4.  Halo 3, just like the other Halos, is going to be overrated and over hyped.  Mass Effect could be hit and miss. 

 

My vote would go w/ Bioshock.

It should either be Bioshock or Mass Effect. If Halo 3 gets it Im going to cry because (from what we've seen) it's nothing new just the same stuff we've seen 1000 times before.

well 360 sold most consoles so its either a 360 game- halo 3(probably),not interested in mass efect or bioshock(just my opinion), or gta 4, unreal tourny3 will be AWSOME but wont win. crysis will win best graphics(if their is an award) but wont win game of the year because of all the expence you have to go through to play(smoothly)
