Rock band has more instruments but is more expensive, guitar hero has better songs, cheaper, and I'm a drummer so I could just practise instead so I am going to get hopefully guitar hero 2 or 3.
i go with guitar hero because rock band is just going to be a mess trying to work all does instruments at ones and i have no idea how thats gonna work online(like the microphone)
I have a dilemma - I want to obviously play more of these types of games, but I also want to somehow notsupport the makers of GH2 after the XBL downloadable content fiasco. I bought the 360 version strictly for that and feel cheated now that they only released 4 overpriced packs and Encore is PS2 exclusive. Having to buy another guitar just to play that game on my PS2 which is going to be packed up and put away soon has me anything but happy with them. But who is at fault for this - is it Activision, RedOctane, or Harmonix? Its so confusing now that they're going separate ways with GH3 and Rock Band, but I know I want to cut support to whichever of them is responsible for screwing us 360 owners over.
Rock Band is better overall because you can play three different instruments and sing. Plus, they are going to be adding new songs EVERY WEEK!!! That's awesome! GH3 will be great but Rock Band brings more to the table and after E3 it looks like it works out very well! I can't wait!
