It's going to look really nice, that's if you are okay with smaller sized screens. As long as it's HD, hooked with an HDMI cable, then you're good to go. Enjoy.

If you have the Core, it's white. The Elite is Black and the Halo edition is green. But why would you put it ON a flatscreen LCD?

Bad jokes aside, it looks fine. My friend plays on a 19'' tv from like 1990 in SD and you can still appreciate things. I play on a 42'' Sharp Aquos LCD. It will still look just fine, only drawback is a somewhat smaller screen which isn't hard to get over.

HD is a huge difference. But it's one of those things that you never look back. As long as all you know is SD, you'll enjoy it just fine. But the second you start gaming in HD, it's a chore to go back.

Stick with the 26'', I'm assuming it's HD right? Since it has HDMI. Good luck, you'll like it.

800:1 is really low. With a contrast ratio that low, blacks will have a blue tint to them.

Unless I'm missing something. My 32" Samsung LCD HDTV has a 3000:1 contrast ratio.

I'm comparing 6 inches and a 2200 contrast ratio difference. Your 26 is 800:1, my 32" is 3000:1. I'd say find something with a better contrast ratio.

I had a 22" widescreen monitor with a 500:1 CR and I returned it because it made blacks have a blueish tint to them. I then bought a 19" widescreen with a 800:1 CR instead and it's alright, still not a good as I'd hoped. I can tell the difference between 800:1 and 3000:1 though when looking at my TV and monitor.

Oh absolutely! I'm talking contrast, not resolution. It will look amazing, just that the black levels won't. I'd just do some reasearch before you spend your money. Just trying to help you get the most out of your 360 experiece, especially if you haven't played in HD before.

There's no way to adjust contrast ratio. That's something that you'll have to look into before you spend the money.
