(Phrase) Typically used to indicate how good some action is. Also used in seemingly random intervals to indicate your lack of sleep and sanity. Used in contrast with "for the loss."
Ziat looted some really ugly shoulderpads for the win.
Klub sat on a bench... for the win.
Sourball needs all new gear for the win.
its pretty much the most annoying and immature phrase you could ever use.... i dont like it. neither does anyone i know.PeterPerson
Really? The most annoying and immature phrase you know of? How about any racial slur or sexual comment or comment relating to violating my mother? I would have to say any of those are far less mature. Considering "ftw!" is not offensive in any way, I would say that it has just about nothing to do with maturity. It's amusing and slightly nerdy.

For the win!
Did this originate from Hollywood Squares? Remember that game show? When the contestants would choose a celebrity to get their three in a row they'd say, "I'll take Whoopi Goldberg for the win!"
One of the most dumbest abbrieviations out there

If you can't beat em, join em FTW
