What else to get for the Xbox?

I agree, the Kinect isn't worth it at the moment, the games that are compatable with it are mostly family games and dance games.

One thing that I find cool about the XBox is that you can link your Netflix account with it. If you like watching movies it's 7.99 a month and you can watch it from your XBox. So that could be something cool that you both can enjoy togther ^_^

Also if he likes playing games over XBox Live then you could get him a headset so he can talk to his friends over XBox Live.

get him hockey or soccor or baseball game.

Madden 12 is ment to use Kinect, So grabbing it now wont hurt. Plus if he likes sport games he just might have fun with Kinect Sports as well.

i think, the following are some other cool accessories:

1. the rechargeable battery pack. it sux when you are in the middle of a game and your battery dies and you have to go find new batteries!
2. the wireless addapter. its kind of pricey but it preforms great.
3. the messenger kit. its good if you go on msn and chat with friends while playing.

Need ideas for a good gift for the Xbox 360... Got him the Xbox 360 for Christmas, a headset and Xbox LIVE membership. His favorite games are NBA 2K11 and Madden. So I was thinking a Kinect, but is it worth it? Any other cool accessories? What about games? Any others similar to madden and NBA? Thanks :) AJay513

that controller blows, if u want a different controller than the stock one check out the onza razor controller, rubber texture, "mouse-click" face buttons, adjustable tension joysticks (the reason i bought this controller, allows you to control how loose or tight the joysticks can move, great for FPS and racing games, haven't tried sports games)

sry i hav to disagree. i think the new conrtroller is ok better than the original and if u need a good dpad get the fightpad. but the new onza is wack, i got it and it so annoying, the mouseclick buttons do not feel good also the analogs are to close tot the dpad and buttons. and the dpad is not as great as they claimed.
