one of the developers of Gears 2 posted on the Gears forum that the "Dark Corners DLC" was a hoax, someone photoshopped a picture of DLC on the Japanese marketplace

nope, you can get 2 of the rank achievements without the Snowblind DLC but once you get to Rank 50 i believe, you have to reach level 50 and play/win a match on atleast one Snowblind map

well thats balls. I think 20$ for 7 maps is quite the rip off
