It's just another post-apocalyptic shooter, except you have a VATs system (turns the action into a turn-based affair) and it is also an RPG. I'm not interested in it personally, combat looked pretty weak.grafkhun

It doesnt have to be turnbased, you can play it like a FPS, but you can pause combat and target certain parts of the enemy, and let your character fight it self(kind of like kotor) but if you want you just play it like an RPG/FPS so i still think itlooks pretty swee,t and its made by bethesda so the story will be boss
i actually have a question too. i sae the trailer at e3 and it really got me interested in the game. just a quick question though, is there missions in the game that you have to complete. or you just run around to different places and shoot?charomidboth its like oblvion if u wana finsh the missions go ahead but if u wana go around places and kill them then go ahead.

I know you can play it in real time, hence the reason I said VATs turns it into a turn-based game. I'm just curious, but there's a story? Hell I don't even know the main guys name...

You don't know the main guys name so you question whether there's a story or not? What? The premise of the game is that your character has been growing up in a secure vault his entire life, but one day he wakes up and his dad is missing, so he leaves the vault in search of his dad. There are supposed to be plenty of side missions and NPCs and such. The story appears to be taking shape nicely.[QUOTE="grafkhun"][QUOTE="nemesi609"][QUOTE="grafkhun"]It's just another post-apocalyptic shooter, except you have a VATs system (turns the action into a turn-based affair) and it is also an RPG. Vault-Tec engineers have worked around the clock on an interactive reproduction of Wasteland life for you to enjoy from the comfort of your own vault. Included is an expansive world, unique combat, shockingly realistic visuals, tons of player choice, and an incredible cast of dynamic characters. From Vault-Tec, America's First Choice in Post Nuclear Simulation.
Vault 101 – Jewel of the Wastes. For 200 years, Vault 101 has faithfully served the surviving residents of Washington DC and its environs, now known as the Capital Wasteland. Though the global atomic war of 2077 left the US all but destroyed, the residents of Vault 101 enjoy a life free from the constant stress of the outside world. Giant Insects, Raiders, Slavers, and yes, even Super Mutants are all no match for superior Vault-Tec engineering. Yet one fateful morning, you awake to find that your father has defied the Overseer and left the comfort and security afforded by Vault 101 for reasons unknown. Leaving the only home you've ever known, you emerge from the Vault into the harsh Wasteland sun to search for your father, and the truth.
