what free gift are you getting?

if you didnt know yet when you go to the spotlight section and pick get a free gift channel (whatever thats called), youll see that microsoft is giving away a free gift for the holidays. but you can only pick one

the gifts are:

arcade games- n+, E4, hexic 2, poker smash, harwood spades

downloadable content- halo 3 legendary map pack, crackdown bonus pack.

im getting the E4 arcade game

I believe these free gifts were for signing up for a gold account. I'm not too sure if it applies to people who already have a gold account or not. Either way I'm hoping I can get N+. If not oh well.The_Dark_Jester

i think it applies to anyone with a 12 month subscription because i paid for live like two months ago and i still was able to get a free gift

I was under the impression that you recieved the gift after subscribing to 12 months of XBL. I bought a 12+1 card that's coming later this week, so hopefully I get Hexic 2, which is what I selected.Staryoshi87

This "free gift" thing has some strings attached. In order to get it, you have to sign up for Gold within a few days (don't remember the exact dates), and download the gamer picture. They will then email you with a code to redeem for your free gift 3-5 weeks after the thing ends. From what I understand, using a prepaid card from a store will not count. I just renewed my subscription today with a card from a store, so we'll see if I get N+ or not.MasonB15

Okay guys I just checked it and it says...

"The code for your free gift will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your account within 3-5 weeks after the promotion ends."

Looks like I was right all along :P
