Definitely Half Life 2 (and its subsidiaries such as Portal), with the gravity gun, super gravity gun, portal gun, crossbow, and pulse rifle, how can you go wrong? Though Halo comes into a close second, with weapons such as the Spartan Rifle, Gravity hammer, Energy Sword, etc.
I would say each game has a few rly awesome, unique weapons. Gears would def b the lancer w/ the chainsaw. Halo would prob b all the alien weapons like needlers and all the other cool looking weapons. Bioshocks' weapons r sick, all the power ups (i 4get what they r actually called, been a while) make the game insanely fun. All the games got some weapons that make it fun.
Everything on The Orange Box (Gravity Gun, Portal Gun, etc). Halo 3 comes in a close second. I personally found Bioshock's weapons to be pretty standard, though the Plasmids were cool.

no it isnt a good weapon because i am sick of people not using the shotgun and just whipping out the chainsaw. with the shotgun weaker and the lancer harder to lower it sucks
I'm going to say for Xbox 360, it's gotta be Gears 2 because of the Mortar, the shotgun, revolver gun (I forget the name), torque bow and the executions with the different weapons.

You just have to get used to the shot-gun. It's no longer a power weapon, but ii can beat the lancer at close range if you know what you're doing. Some people may be dissipointed with the shot-gun now being the second best close range weapon (flame thrower is #1) but the fact is you spawn with it, how stupid would it be if you spawned with one of the most diminant weapons?
