What game should I get for my first game?

I am getting my xbox pro today, and I can't decide what game to get. It has to be under 40 bucks, and I would prefer a shooter. Any suggestions?

Halo 3, Gears of War 2, COD: Modern Warfare, or COD: World at War. There the biggest hits for XBL which ever one you would like the most.
