yo i am going out today to get either crackdown (which is primarily for the halo 3 beta) or gears. Any suggestions on what to get?

depends If you want the beta for 20 days get crackdown. If you want a game that you'll actually like get gears.

At this point i'd say Gears unless you really want to play the beta. =-)

Crackdown is worth picking up on its own merit. I'd take it over Gears in a heartbeat, but it really is up to you and what you prefer.
