Probably King Kong. I wasn't really expecting anything since it was a game based off a movie, but I was pleasantly surprised and it turned out to be quite a blast.
Hmmm.... Well I didn't think when I bought GHII that it would be so fun, of course now I rarely play it at all. I would say GRAW 2. I played the first and didn't like it too much, but GRAW 2 was great.
Command and Conquer 3, Oblivion and Hitman Blood Money were all better than I thought they'd be.
I never have huge expectations of any game I play to be honest. I never read reviews and previews because I like to know as little as possible about the game I'm playing. Am I the only person like this?
Actually for me Halo 3 really beat my expectations for what I though it would be. Also Gears of War beat what I thought was going to be a great game so that was really cool. Dead Rising I thought was going to be like Dynasty warriors or something horrible like that but it turned out to be one Xbox 360s top noch titiles.
Before it came out I couldn't have cared less about Gears of War, I was very surprised. DEAD RISING was also a VERY pleasant surprise (and looking at all the good reviews) I'm shocked TimeShift is any good, the demo made me want to cry I was so bored.
For me, Two Worlds, wished they made less problems in it, used a better engine for graphics, better animation, smooth gameplay and easy to use inventory space etc.
same. lost planet turned out to be a great game. shooting, running, Mechs, big bad bosses every thing a game needs.
dont play it much anymore tho:P

yeah well I think otherwise. why would there be another character. makes no difference IMO. it is an realy enjoyable game for me and the MP was great aswell. but then again, I dont play it much anymore. wonder why that is, maybe it just isnt that great.:P
GRAW 2! i was never a fan of GRAW but i gave GRAW 2 a try and it was awesome.

First game I got for my 360 cuz it was used for $20 and I was soooo surprised at all that I could do. Its truly and incredible game with almost too much variety.
Both Crackdown and Just Cause. Crackdown was a surprise cause everything i had read about the game up until the demo came out, i didnt care for. But thats what demos are for, i tried it, liked enough to buy the game, and loved every second of it. Just Cause REALLY surprised me. When it came out, i got it because i was jonesin for a new game bad. Love it.
na not just you dude, ppl are always tryna bash even in topics completely different that don't even relate to halo. haters will hate and notice how evry1 has to compare all other shooters to halo...i.e. your just proving how good the game really is by trying to say oh this game is better
back to da point now actually for me it was Skate. i tried it didn't even pay any attention to it but yea great game...

Anyways, The Godfather ended up being better than expected for me at least...
