topic.

Dead Risings are really cool and well put together, so what other games are like that.
I don't really like online acheievements all that much.

I dunno, I think that acheivements get you to play games you might otherwise have ignored.
Also, they give alot of replay value to games that I may have otherwise set aside.
If I'm having fun getting the acheivements, I don't see any reason to think their bad, or that I'm getting lost in 'em.

Dead Rising achievements are really creative. If it weren't for the achievements, I wouldn't have played that game like 10 times through from the beginning to the end. I would have played it once and that's all. I got 960 achievement points from that game. Dead Rising 4 Life!

CoD3 achievements are inventive as well (fire only bolt-action rifles, use 300 rounds or less in a campaign, etc...).

Bomberman Live has some wacky achievements as well. (Bomb someone dressed as a Cowboy while you are dressed as a Cowboy, win an all-girl match on Ranked). good times.

I thought the Grizzled Veteran achievement was cool, because otherwise I would never have gone through all that trouble for just to complete the campaign on veteran.. I had a blast doing it.

I don't think getting achievements is fun. You just kind of do it.
