What Gears of War 2 is today

This is a list of things that I posted up on a forum on the Gears of War 2 website and got banned the next day for it. This is what I should have done to begin with I suppose? Just read and tell me if I am wrong about the game.

1.The speed of the game has gone down. It is not nearly as fast as the first GOW was.

2.Smoke grenades have opened up a new door for noobs. They make you cringe no matter what you are doing and that

makes you an easy target. The amount of time that you cringe cannot be predicted

3.Matchmaking takes forever to find you a team to play with and then find a team to play against.

4.Matching you up with people in the game is also terrible. Either your a high lvl paired up with low lvls facing a high

lvl team or you are a low lvl put with low lvl facing a high lvl team.

5.The chainsaw has become a noob weapon. In the first GOW you had to be point blank in order to chainsaw. Now

you can get shot and still have it revved, and you have a little lunge so you don't have to be point blank.

6.People who aren't good at the game use lagswitchs.

7.The game depends on a single player to be host. A lot of games do this but for this game who ever has host has an

advantage over the other players.

8.If the host has a bad connect then you have a bad connect and then the game is just terrible.

9.The frag grenades are faulty. If you were close to the grenades when it starts to beep, then no matter how far

away you get from the frag you will die. Then if the beep is already off and then you jump into it the explosion

won't kill but only hurt you.

10.Then the shotgun has been changed. Before it was a powerful close range weapon. Now they have weakened the

shotgun and gave it length. I want my shotgun to kill somebody at close range, I don't want to be able to hit

somebody from 40 yards away. If they are that far away then I will pull out either my lancer, or hammer burst.

Now I messed up on the list and instead of number nine put this in its place, but this just goes to show you how many wrong turns Epic took with this game.

You don't get to pick what you play. On the first you get to pick either execution or warzone. Now since Epic wants to improve their leaderboards they make you have to vote on which you want to play. Now to me this is bull crap. If you want to play warzone then you have to get five people in your party most of the time to play warzone so you can all vote for warzone. When I go and play I don't even vote because six people already vote for execution. Now to me this isn't far to those players. Now for me when I wanted to play submission and get the achievements it took me forever because everybody else wanted to play the other game variant annex or KOTH. Even now when I try to play submission I barley play because everybody wants to play guardian. I understand that they want it to be more fair so people have a better shot at getting on the leaderboards but it's just not fair to a lot of players and its just crap. I also miss going 19 rounds with people having fun.

Now I also have one more thing for you. They made it so that people couldn't leave the game. So people just went to their dashboard. Now this made people mad so Epic made a little fix by giving you a punishment to leaveing the game. I understand the punishment because you left the game but really I think they should change that now. I think this because now I leave the game because the game is extreamly laggy, or the other team is glitching. Now I think its not fair for me to leave the game when I am having a horrible time and not enjoying myself then get punished for it. I file a comoplaint on that guy but in the end nothing happens to him. He continues to play the game and mess it up for tons more people.

This is what I think of Gears of War 2 and I am going to sell this once good game gone horriblely wrong for a much better like Section 8. That game looks promising. Maybe I am wrong about Section 8 but it probably won't be as bad as Gears of War 2. Now just to let everybod know I waited at Meijers for two hours with a friend to get the limited edition Gears of War 2 with the golden hammerburst and lancer, and now I am a rank 53. So I am not just some kid who doesn't like the game. I have been through the whole thing and the game has become crap. This game is an Epic fail. (pun intended)

dude all this post shows is that you suck at adapting to change. Yes the chainsaw has become a noob weapon, and the shot gun and smoke grenade things suck, but then u learn to adapt and play that way. All this post is proving is that you are going to cry when u can't win all the time and u are unable to adapt your game play. If you were truly good at a game, u would be able to adapt to any changes the game throws at you. I don't care if the developers make Dom wear a dress and constantly have a target over him that reads "NOOBS FIRE HERE". Adapt to the game and stop crying, or else go and play another game and get over it. And no before u say anything, I'm not an Epic fan boy and I'm not "out of my mind". ok I did adept to change because I was able to get to rank 53 and obviously you do care since you keep on coming to my post's and reading them and responding to them if you really didn't care then you wouldn't even come to the post and you wouldn't even read it. Yeah, there wasn't enough changes for the game to be good. I HATED the first GoW; I made it to the end of Act 4 and the game got just way too repetitive so I tried Xbox Live for the first time and I still thought the game wasn't good.

An awesome game? :P I enjoy the campaign and the online. Stop being so competitive.

The game is not slower.

Yes, without smoke grenades some people would have no chance at this game.

Matchmaking speeds are fine. I think the matchmaking speed is right on par with Halo 3.

I think the two piece is more noob now than chainsaw but they don't stun in laggy matches. A lag free to minor lag match if you shoot someone with a chainsaw it will go down.

Lagswitching used to be a big problem it is practically non-existent now.

I don't think it's the grenades, I think it's lag.

The shotgun works like it should. When I am host, one shots are no problem. Off host, a little harder but still pull them off. Again, this comes down to lag. In a non laggy match the shotgun is great.

I've been playing Gears 1 since released day, I'm a big Gears fan but I agree with this topic. Gears 2 was too slow and tried to become something that doesn't fit with Gears. What's up with all the maps too? Did anyone else notice they brightened all the maps compared to the original Gears? What happened to the destroyed cities, dark rainy nights? They might as well add a rainbow to their maps. Gears 1 is so much better on so many levels.

I don't get why everyone is hating on the Original Poster. He has a right to say what he wants to say but at the same time, it tends to get annoying. But the game is honestly one of the most anticipated sequels ever and it was a online FLOP!

You can go ahead, and tell oh the sales were great. Yeah the sales were great, but Gears 1 Was on the #1 - #2 spot for 2 years straight on the XBOX LIVE TOP 10 List. Gears 2 has been #4 since the first week it was out, and still is.

With that being said, Gears 2 will be never be as good as 1. That's why I can understand these Gears 2 rant threads. I don't blame people for complaining, because the game is annoying.

Gears 1 will always be my favorite 360 game, unless EPIC uses their **** heads this time, and fix the game instead of adding maps that suck (except for courtyard, awesome map).

Also, EPIC claims to make the game more realistic. If you want realism, go ahead and **** play R6V2. Nuff said.

And to Rob Furgeson (the red hair guy on those DEV Diary Vids), You said you guys were fixing the 2 piece. You sure did not fix it, because thats what honestly everyone does since it's a guaranteed kill. and Oh Yeah, u guys fixed the chainsaw too righT? Dumb idiots.

So, yeah. OP has the right what he wants to say, I'm sure the OP wrote this after frustrated from a match on G2, but thats understandable. Because G2 is so broken and annoying. From the boring campaign to the annoying multiplayer. Hopefully gears 3 will be better. EPIC, get your **** brains together, make G3 like G1. And maybe you guys might be in the top 2 XBL Most played again, like Gears 1 was.

gears of war 2 was the biggest dissapointment ever, i loved gears of war 1 played it hours on end, but gears 2 is awful. how does this make sense, popshotting with a shotgun does less damage, wtf

Dude, just stop worrying about this game.
I started playing less and less, until now I only usually play on special weekends they have.

However, the only thing I have a problem with in this game, a real problem, is host selection.
It's where most of the problems come from, and why I don't play much anymore.

It's a very fun game, until you're playing a full team from Hong Kong, France, whatev.
Then, you wonder why you're even playing anymore. Well, I'm not.

If they were ever to fix that (host selection), I'd be on that for my MP Fix.
Otherwise, it's not worth the headache.

Yes, the old school smokes were better than the TU4 ones, the shotgun is soooo inconsistent, the constant use of any melee, and it's stupid how you're glued to the floor with the mortar now (I didn't use it much before, but now I don't want to), how the smokes NOW knock your meatshield down, and cringe you thereafter (real flaw there), but if it wasn't lagging, I wouldn't care.

The camera is disorienting as well after playing an FPS such as Halo 3 or Modern Warfare.
