I don't care what anyone says, I am still going to use my MP5. New weapons or not. killercuts3
MP5 is a totally respectable choice as it is a popular one with real-life law enforcement special units. If it can put lead downrange, and feels right, then go for it. Just like in COD4, people swear by the M16. That's not a fancy or futuristic weapon, but people love it.
I think the real deciding factor is what kind of scope a weapon has, theh amount of muzzle creep, and how the rumble feels when you pull the trigger. Those tend to be a deal-breakers for me at least.

Yeah same here. Your choice doesn't make much of a difference. I tend to use guns that have a good record in real life, like the MP5N, as you said.
Normally in my multiplayer clan in RSV, I use a SCAR-II CQC with a reflex sight and a G3 with an ACOG scope. Sometimes I swap the SCAR for an MP5N, FAMAS or occasionally a P90. But hell I'll take any weapon I find if I have to.

In the novel, Rainbow Six, Rainbow uses MP10s, which are upgrades of the Heckler and Koch MP5N, and I don't think they exist. Julio Vega (the machine gunner) uses an M60, and two of the riflemen use the same sniper, Rifle One One (I think that's Sam Houston) uses a huge .50 MacMillan.
And they all have Beretta M9s as sidearms.
