What happens to XBLA games next gen?

The thought struck me yesterday...I've spent hundreds of dollars on downloadable games and I'm concerned with not being able to play them in the future.

Will we lose the ability to play XBLA/Indie games we paid for? You have to be connected to live to play them, correct? Or do you think they will integrate XBL and allow you to carry these games over to the next Xbox?

There's nothing to worry about there, the only sure thing left in the world of gaming is digital distribution. Everything else is a crap shoot

You only need to be signed in to play XBLA games if for some reason you have problems with the licences, for example if you got a new Xbox and didn't transfer the licences over. Otherwise you're good to go.

It's funny a poster mentioned themes, because I was thinking with the fall update the dashboard isn't even remotely in the layout or configuration of already purchased themes.

When a new Xbox is released, I'm sure it will be the same experience as it is now. Everything will be tied to your Gamertag, and License Transfers will be there for the people who want to use that tool.
