I have a strange feeling that Gears of War isn't going to be as good as people think it will be. It'll be good, but I don't think it'll be on the level of the first, purely because it seems exactly like the first with a few new things. But hey, I could be wrong. It might get 10's from everyone.
well, I don't really think any of the really big titles will flop. but I AM a little concerned about Fable 2, since I didn't play the first one. but besides that, I think the ones I'm realy hyped for will be good.
btw, why is everyone hating on COD:WAW? just because it's going back of WWII and there's some different designers? that doesn't mean it's gonna suck. have faith! :D
Definitely Call of Duty World at War. Know alot of guys that's having problems with the whole WW2 low technology thing while Call of Duty 4 had such a big draw. Of you have the faithfuls grabbing up the game but in no way will it surpass COD 4.
Also, I would have to add Rise of the Argonauts. BTW, is this game suppose to be a MMO?

I agree with the people who said COD5. I think they'll be more people playing COD4 than COD5 when it comes out. Would that be the first time a sequel game has been lesspopulatedthan it's predecessor? Howembarrassingwould that be? Months after COD5 is released the xbox live chart will have COD5 much lower than COD4.

have you played the demo for it? i think its good, but it is differeent than i expected. i am definitely expecting mercs 2 to be the biggest flop in the history of the world(it looks terrible!imo) fable 2 might not be fantastic but i dont think it will be a flop. gears 2 i think will be awesome. cod 5 will be a flop just because they are GOING BACK TO WORLD WAR 2 !??!?!?!?!?
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, has a really big chance of falling hard. Also, like a lot of RPG games, Fable 2 probably has a chance of flopping too. I hope they don't, I'm putting money into them. :P
I personally think everyone has way too much hype for a few games such as Gears of War 2 and Fable 2, so there is no way that those games can reach what is expected for them, so in gamers minds they will flop.
Yeah, I'm thinking Saints Row 2 also. Rockstar set the bar once again for sandbox-gameplay with GTA4 and Saints Row 2, I must say, looks like it has no physics at all and the animations look like they have been copied directly from GTA:SA. I liked Sains Row 1 though.

In what way? To me, saints row 2 judging from gameplay videos look like the holy grail of sandbox games.
GTA IV owns that holy grail and will never give it up to garbage games like SR2.I think the animations look really stiff and the ai seems dumb it just looks a bit meh to me, like i said i loved the first one its one of my favourite games.
I could have sworn the title says "High profile" games. Why are games like COD5 and Merc 2 being listed. There is hardly any crazy hype around these games. I say the high profile games are Fable 2, lol Gear of War 2, Fallout 3. There may be another 1 or 2 that I havent list but those 3 games definitly have the most hype that puts all the other upcoming games to shame.
Im gonna go with Fallout 3. I think alot of people are going to buy it simply because its a Bathesda game, but I think thats the reason its gonna bomb hard.
oh FYI, CoD World at War =/= CoD 5. The game that follows World at War is the one thats going to be called "5".

I'm not sure why people keep saying Mercenaries 2 and Fable 2 are going to be flops. Mercs 2 looks really cool and most of the early hands-on previews that I've read for Fable 2 have had nothing but great things to say about it. I'm worried about Force Unleashed and Fracture, though. Star Wars games are always iffy and Fracture reminds me of Too Human which is terrible!
falble 2 for me it just doesn't seem that great, just the whole killing your own family thats changes the path sounds funny, i want to go on coop and pretend to like someone i don't then bam he will be mourning to his wife.
