Now that Pandemic is officially defunct, it's time to think of the possibilities of who would pick up the rights to Star Wars Battlefront, seeing how it's a fan favorite among Star Wars fans.

Here's my idea, and it's two words: Infinity. Ward.

Think about it, besides their wildly popular Call of Duty series, imagine them taking the helm of Star Wars Battlefront? Them having the rights to everything Star Wars would be absolutely incredible.

The multiplayer would be absolutely unbelievable and if they do it right, they could even do a single-player campaign worthy of a Jedi or Sith.

Infinity Ward has said a number of times it's not really interested in the make believe/fantasy games now that it's solidified itself as a "real world" game creator

You go ahead and talk logic while I dream of a Star Wars Battlefront game using Modern Warfare's engine and looking up at the Death Star for the first time in amazing 1080p HD Resolution as I shoot down some stormtroopers with my blaster.

Thank you! yes, my words exactly. It would be absolutely EPIC. I'd love for a scene where you confront Darth Vader or something and then in first person view you get lifted up by him using Force Choke and then be thrown against a wall and knocked unconcious.

Infinity Ward are owned by Activision. Lucas Arts own the gaming rights for Star Wars. You see how that might cause a problem?

Lucas Arts may own the gaming rights, but they've let Pandemic develop the series. I'm saying, having Infinity Ward and Lucas Arts collaborate on the next Star Wars Battlefront game. I'm not stupid, I know the rights to Star Wars is owned by LucasArts.

It doesn't change the fact that Infinity Ward contractually can't develop any games for any publisher other than Activision at this point in time. They'll probably be stuck making CoD after CoD for God knows how long.

For this idea I've thrown logic out of the window like I stated previously, I'm talking just about a concept that would be awesome if it happened. If that makes any sense to you. I don't care if whoever is owned by whoever, I really don't. It'd just be a sweet idea, people can dream you know? It's not against the law.

I would slap George Lucas in the face until he agreed to never let another Battlefront game go on the market.

You know, Lucas Arts and Activision could easily co-produce the game.

The idea of Star Wars Battlefront is awesome. Someone could make an amazing FPS style game based on the star wars universe. They just are not pulling it off...even close. I just hope someone picks up the pieces and does it right, because it would be such an awesome game.

SithWarrior meet Star Wars: Dark Forces and the first part of Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. Not to mention republic commando, although short, is a very good game

welcome to the past

I wish I had the change to play Dark Forces and Jedi Knight. I played republic commando which was good, but on our current gen systems the battlefield style fps would be awesome

I'd rather see Battlefront go to EA/DICE. Battlefront on the Frostbite engine would be absolutely epic.

LOL, Star Wars Battlefront on Frostbite, that would probably start a new era or something.

Not sure why you guys are praising Infinity Ward... they are cheap a$$holes that screwed up mw2 so much.... for one thing your beloved dlc that is supposed to drop early next year is already on your game disc
