What if the Halo franchise didnt exist..would the XBOX 360 be as popular?

Topic...I was always wondering" what if Halo never existed" would you guys who love Halo still own a 360 without it, Microsofts Juggernaught. Any thoughts on this?Would you still own a 360 without the franchise?

Since I never liked Halo nor most FPS, but I love my 360, then probably yes. Halo fans are taking over the world!! Enough, we get it. You guys like Halo.

any games at all...or any halo games the question is kind of vague

But if it didnt have any games...I wouldnt own it...why own a console with no games at all :P

But without the Halo games...yes I would still own it.

I wouldn't have owned a 360 had Halo3 not come out. Unfortunately it was a disappointment for me, but that's OK. It was still kinda fun.

I really think that there were tons of gamers who really really liked Halo2 XBL play and got Halo3 and a 360 because of that. So, I think the 360 would have gotten considerably less sales without Halo3.

You never know though. I guess Gears was pretty big too, maybe most of the Halo3 waiters would have gotten it even if Halo3 got canceled.

I totally agree witht this guy. Sales wouldnt have been as strong as they were if it had not been for halo 3. Personally i bought the 360 purely for halo 3 but found to reaslie other awesum games had vcome out too. like bioshock, CoD 4 and gears.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so, to be truthful.
