To me Halo 3 is just like another generic straight up shooter game, with no customization. on the other hand in COD4, you can customize your player in multiplayer game
More customization could definitely have been used in Halo 3. The main reason why I play though is for those buddy aspects that COD4 is sadly lacking in. If it had co-op and split screen multiplayer, I would probably play both.
seriously....why do you insist on making these threads?...i find cod4 better and if you want to know what game to buy...why don't you do a logical thing and rent them both...start making your own decisions (did not mean to sound rude)

Call of Duty 4 has better single player and better online if you're not interested in the social aspect and a fan of Counter Strike. I personally prefer Halo 3. You can have friends over and play online with them, for some reason the social aspect is much better. I find myself adding twice as many friends on Halo 3 than I do in CoD4. I live in Brazil and the best way for me and my cousin to hang out with each other (he's in the States) is playing Halo 3.
CoD4 is fun, but it's cliche war game. Halo 3 has more variety of areas to fight in. Not only that, but you get co-op single player too! Mr_Cumberdale
And Halo isn't cliche for basically being the same game since 2001 in terms of gameplay? Seriously, they should've just stopped at Halo 2 when they had the chance.
