Have you ever seen a character in a EA Game be in any other of their games when it's not needed(meaning not sports players)? They're not Nintendo, they don't do that. And this year they've surprised me with NHL 08 and Skate so I have good hopes for them

relax dude is a joke EA surprised me to with fifa 08 its awesome but seriously EA:evil: dont touch mass effectFirst off, nothing is happening the Mass Effect. EA is buying BioWare in January, well after Mass Effect ships. Ontop of that, ME is being published by MS. The other 2 games in the series are going to be published by EA, for who knows what systems.
The more I think about it, EA really could come out with their own console. They have a ton of high profile games and definity have the money to launch one. Time will tell.
agreed dude dont be surprice people if we see a system from EA they have so much money is not even funny and they got madden thats sell like crazy every year and battlefield and army of two and now mass effect and the list goes on and onFirst off, nothing is happening the Mass Effect. It may be coming out before EA buys Bioware, but EA is still buying the IP which means Mass Effect 2 and 3 (since it's a triology according to bioware) are going to be published by EA and all I can say is I hope they don't just publish some half-a$$ version of what looks like is going to be the best game of the year (sorry to hype it, but ME is my most anticipated game for the past few years, since it was announced in 2005). On top of that it also means that anything Bioware developes which has traditionally been for one platform or two at most (with KotOR, and Jade Empire although Jade Empire came out on PC a long time after it's xbox debut), will be developed for as many platforms as they can (if I see a Mass Effect for Game boy advanced I will not be held responsible for anything I do). I'm not saying EA is a bad developer/publisher all the time, but Bioware games have never been the most stable games anyway and EA has a tendency to put their games on as many platforms as possible and I don't want to see what that will do to developement time for Bioware or their game's stability. Also, Mass Effect was announced as a exclusive for the 360 for all three installments and game data is supposed to carry over for all three games too, so if the sequels get put on more consoles, so does the first game. Sorry to rant on this, but I don't want EA changing what looks like a good thing and change a stellar developer.
Remember Westwood? Probably not..They made the earlier Command & Conquers. Then EA bought them. They became Westwood Pacific, then EA Pacific..lol.. k.. no one remebers westwood [QUOTE="zero9167"]If you've noticed EA is trying to put their name on everything.veitari
You know everyone is dissing EA and EA is making a comeback to actually being good and smart. While i don't think THEY make good games the companies they own do (criteron with Burnout and crytek with Farcry and Crysis). Now you look at those and you notice that Crytek is doing awesome things with Crysis and it is EA published (mainly because EA owns Crytek or so i think). I honestly think that this may not turn out bad. If an EA published game (crysis) can be only released on PC (for limited time perhaps) then who knows mabye this won't turn out horrible.
As long as they give Bioware and Pandemic freedom then i can see this being ok... perhaps not the best but not in everyway bad.
They're just publishing the games, but the games still have the same developer teams so nothing will changeScarface_tm431
