Crysis flopped, and Far Cry 2 just looks like Crysis all over again (With better fire effects!), but I have hope for it.

Probebly Resistance 2/Killzone 2. Xbox really doesn't have that many FPS's coming out this year. Battlefield may make a run for it, Unreal Tournment 3 ,or Quake Wars.millwrought

That came out this year. So far, it's Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

I'm really looking forward to Quake Wars. I love the class-based shooters.

If not, then you must look in terms of what "best" means...

If you mean "Most Played on XBL", then probably BFBC or UT3.

In what ways did Crysis flop? It got great reviews and I loved it. Anyway I think Killzone 2 or Resistance 2 will take the title of best FPS of 2008. Far Cry 2 looks interesting as well though.

There aren't that many FPS coming out this year as opposed to last year; thank goodness. The one I'm looking forward to is Project Origin (FEAR prequel). It's probably not going to be the best FPS this year, but that's the one I'm looking forward to.gr8scott

Project Origin is not a F.E.A.R prquel, its the sequel, but it does looks like the best FPS coming out this year, Left4dead looks good too.

I agree, but if you're talking about shooters in general, there's Gears 2 as well.

If EPIC can somehow port Unreal Tournament 3 to the 360 without losing gameplay speed,

it'll be the biggest FPS this year no doubt.

Hopefully the controls will be decent

Crysis was over pirated. The graphics of Farcry 2 are awesome and it play differnet han Crysis and earlier Farcry. So it will not piss any one. Farcry 2 could be the best FPS this year. Your player has too many personal aspects he can get diseases, he can join a community do side misson, complete missons randomly with siffernet story flow. Did Crysis had it no. Any other game a FPS has so many features no. So thats why it could be the best fps this year.

KZ2 is also jumping to 2009 a lot of chance for this to happen.

Yeah but "only shooters" was the complain last year for 360. Also Project origin, Condemned, R6 Vegas 2 and other multiplat shooters are still there.

I think he means that Crysis flopped in sales, due to its insane system requirements. Remember, though, that Far Cry 2 is releasing for the 360 and PS3 as well, eliminating the high requirements.mrcong

Yeah that is what I ment in the whole 'Crysis flopped' thing, sorry for being unclear. I wish I could play it, but I can't get a get PC right now. *Sighs*

And I am now uber hyped for Project Origin, orginial creators of F.E.A.R FTW! And there is a good chance that Gears 2 will be good. Just fix up the multiplayer please...
