Well I have the XBOX 360 premium and it doesn't have an HDMI port on it, but I'm going to be purchasing an HDTV pretty soon. I was wondering what an HDMI port does, can i still run games in HD without one?

thanks in advance.

of course you can you just have to use the component cables you know the red, green, and blue ones. HDMI is just another form of HD a better one for the most part.

HDMI is high definition multimedia interface, basically its pure and true HD with component its HD but has to go through some things to get there, cant explain it but unless your tv is 1080p you will most likely barely notice the difference if any. its has much better sound though as HDMI is video and audio in one and if your surround sound has HDMI its much better

Unless you're getting a 1080p HDTV you really don't need HDMI.
