what is th best racing game?

i think it is prject gotham racing 4 and here's why. i have burnout paradise and it is fun. but nothing beats the pure enjoyment of pgr 4. you can change camera view in this game. which i like alot. you can drive motorcycles. you can do all sorts of stuff. it's not that i don't like burnout paradise, it is a great game to be sure. but i like jumping into the action right away. i have a ton of racing games for my ps2 including gran tourismo 4 and midnight club 3 and pro race driver. these games are great but nothing tops pgr 4.

outrun online....best arcade style racer by far and you can always find a game.

Very hard to judge best racing game, I love Dirt for it's crazy good rally, dirt track racing and cool damage, PGR is good in an auto pron sense all shiny and supercars/bikes, games like burnout (or my fav flatout) are great fun but hard to compare with serious racers! My overall Fav driving game though is Forza 2 for the sheer depth of the game, the customization and the online features it's the only true racing gameon xbox with a pretty much unlimited life span!

yep, i agree...the variety of gaming style racing games offer is vast and it would depend on what type of gamer you are to say which racing game is best. I'd say Forza 2...

Forza 2 is my favorite racer ever. I must say though, I have the PGR4 demo and it is just about perfect. Best weather effects ever in a racing game. I loved PGR2 on the Xbox. I want to get PGR4 but I've spent too much money on games recently. Most likley it will be the next game I get.

Pure is the only racing game I've enjoyed on the 360. I'm not much of a racing game fan.

I think Midnight Club: LA with the South Central expansion pack, just an awsome game I gave it a perfect 10 and the next one is Dirt followed by Forza 2.
