what is the best cooling fan for HDMI compatible Xbox 360s?

sitting it in front of a window letting the cool air at it. Don't use third party cooling fans, ever

When it really comes down to it, you don't need one. I use Gamestop's one on mine, but at the same time, I also did a few bits of tweaking to it. If you really feel the need to buy one, only go for the ones that run off of the USB ports, and not the actual port in back of the 360.

If your 360 stands vertically, I would recommend the bottom mounting pelican cooling fan. It plugs into a usb port, keeps it cool, and you won't run into any warranty issues from microsoft if you used other ones that mount in the back and plug through the power supply. I've had the same 360 since launch with no RRoD!

Do not use a cooling fan unless you want to shorten the life of your 360. There has been so much written on this subject and all accounts advise not to use one.

ditto. you shouldn't use a cooling fan. just make sure your 360 is in a well ventilated area and you'll be cool. (pun intended)
